Bad Matchmaking Thread

Balancing should not be happening like this. One Ascendent 4 and a whole bunch of Archons is not balanced by a team of Oracles and Phantoms.

A single Ascendent+ has a very high chance of taking over the entire game. I find this happens repeatedly against me, but this is the first time I have been the beneficiary of it.

After watching the replay, it's crazy to me how much a single missed parry affects the entire outcome of the game.

The developer of the matching system should be fired. He is the worst. Matching itself is the problem and rankings are meaningless.
He's a cancer for Deadlock and Valve.

They only match you with team members who can't win no matter what they do. My Mirage, which had a 73% win rate in 90 games, lost 5 times in a row just today.

The team members I was a part of had no concept of game management or side play, and were made up of team members who gave up when problems occurred.

It’s a ridiculous matching system. How on earth can you win if you match things so differently? Has the person who developed it played the game?

I'm playing from Europe (alone) and usually, I party queue with my friends (2 to 3 players) who are in Asia. Usually, I get an Asia server which is fine I've been regularly playing games in Asia servers (dota, cs, deadlock, etc) with 200+ ping, but today when I play 3 matches with my friends none of the servers are Europe or Asia. In 1 match (26791314) we got America which is around 150 ping for all of us, and after that, we got two more games (26797247 and 26801786) in Sydney which was worse for me because I got to play at 300 ping and it is unplayable. Is it possible to fix this kind of issue or one day in the future patches perhaps implement Dota 2 matchmaking which we get to choose which server we want to play? thanks

For some reason cannot download replay. It says unavailable. Bebop is said to be autoblocking punches perfectly every time. I've seen this is previous ranked games. Cannot confirm for myself since replay is unavailable.

Feels like MMR doesn't even exist anymore. I constantly get matched with people that I know have so few hours in the game because I check their steam profiles. It's completely unplayable these days because I get paired with people that doesn't even know how to press TAB or check incoming damage. It's just a clown fiesta no matter if it's "ranked" or unranked. Barely a sliver of difference between them because you STILL get people with astonishingly low hours outside anything Ascension. Oracle/Phantom is stupid af.
