Bad Matchmaking Thread

Like this is just ridiculous. Arcanist 5 average, on our team, a solo queued mid ascendant magician (according to statlocker), and the shiv who we just got on our team said he was oracle one (statlocker had him at low oracle so I have no reason not to believe him). I dont understand why players several ranks higher than the average are put into the match

WOW it's so much fun getting put against an all gun carry team in a gun carry meta. Such good MM guys. You really hit it out the park with this one.
 
Why does the matchmaker do this matchmaking when there's enough people online? I AM ALCHEMIST 6 ffs. It's cryin' out loud. And this is not the first time I get matchmaked way bellow my rank. It's like the matchmaker doesn't want you to rank up and it does everything in it's power to keep you in the same place forever. And if it does happen to go up 1 rank, then immediately does everything it it's power to put in the worst lobbies and eventualy I go back down.

Ascendant 1 avg vs Archon 1 avg , the match went as expected complete roll at no point in the match did it feel close.
The matchmaker should not be allowed to make games where the team averages are this far apart.

Granted I was duo queued me (asc 5) and duo (Rit 5) and queued for about 10 mins, However the matchmaker should still not be making that match.

I was on asc 1 team so im not just salty

37283573 - both our sidelanes were completely dominated and reported feeling like they couldn't participate in the game because how good their enemies were. This is the most recent example, but basically all games feel like a coin flip on if you can win without having to do anything or if you'll lose no matter how well you play. I'm firmly mediocre as a player and sometimes I'm the best player in the game hands down, other times I feel like I might as well not exist because I have no impact. The skill range within in a single game is too high.
 
This isn't a complaint specific to one game, but a trend I've noticed across multiple games since the most recent patch.

Recently I've noticed a lot of the teams I get queued with are of lower quality that what I'm used to. They don't spread out as much as they should, letting walkers get taken for free while they 5v4 in the enemy jungle. I'm trying to pick up the slack by keeping lanes shoved and split pushing when I can, but often times I'm forced to jump back and forth between two lanes for minutes on end. During the midgame I often end up with 10k+ souls on hand before I can get a break and go to the shop. And then I'll finally manage to get to the shop, buy my items, only to realize that a walker is getting shoved in while my team is 5-manning again. So then I'm back on lane-duty.

Oftentimes I'm ending the game with top Objective Damage, not because I like split pushing, but because my team is treating the game like a Team Deathmatch and these lanes ain't gonna push themselves.

This isn't every game, but there has been a marked increase in the number of games that go like this. The game is still fun, these matches are still winnable, the teammates are just rough recently.

Won lane against Haze/Kevin but my team threw so hard there was no coming back.

The Pocket on our team said he's only played 100-150hrs and hasnt played since Novemeber.

If Im sitting at 800+hrs why am I in a match with him?

Im a support class not a garbage truck I cant carry this trash.

Bulk of my deaths at the end btw because of avalanche of cocks.

only the yamato and lash seemed to be the people that knew what they were doing, my ally Haze went without deaths and dominated the lobby alongside warden, and only 1 of our lane guardians was dead by the end of the match.
 
How many posts does it take for the developers to realize that their current system isn't working? At this point, they either need to try something different or, ideally—as we expect from a company like Valve—innovate with a solution that finally brings a sense of fairness to matches. Not the same old experience of stomping or being stomped.


It's incredibly frustrating to see that this is the longest thread in the forum and yet the issue remains unaddressed. It’s starting to feel like a petition more than feedback. Maybe Valve thinks we're just complaining because we lose some matches, and that would be a huge mistake—ignoring a widespread concern is simply disrespectful to the community, especially when the fault clearly lies in how matchmaking is currently designed.
 
Can anyone spot the difference between these 2 matches?
Which one did I play worse in?

Matchmaking is fucking dogshit, all I want is a game where players aren't fucking retarded.

The lower the mmr, the higher the chance that worthless dogshit players disrespect all my comms and go fucking chain feed.
