Good Faith Effort Post to the Devs (Skip below to see the fix to this issue to avoid potential bans)
I want to start this off by asking if any dev will be transparent as to what causes this crash? I praise the devs working on this game for their transparency and passion but this is an insane issue that has yet to ever been addressed or even acknowledged by the dev team as far as I'm aware. I could be wrong and please correct me if so, but after searching through the forums, discord, and internet, there seems to be no idea as to what causes the crash and how to PERMENANTLY fix it. This is not a crash caused by any hardware and no setting changes seems to fix it. This is not a hardware issue or a bad pc issue as many of the people you will find experiencing these crashes have high-end gaming pc's. I just want to know that this bug is at least acknowledged by the team after having had constant crashes for the past year, causing multiple losses on many different occasions as fixing it takes longer than the allotted minimum (1 minute 30 seconds) of in-game pause time to resolve.
Solution* (* because this is a work around fix to avoid receiving bans 99% of the time whenever the crash occurs)
Scenario: You are mid-match when this crash occurs. When you go to verify game files, the download bar is stuck at 0%.
(I have no fix for if the crash occurs during loading into a match, I think your genuinely cooked if this happens unfortunately)

- Why am I losing games for a crash that's not my fault?
- Why am I getting called insults in-game for a crash that's not my fault?
- Why am I receiving temporary bans for a crash that's not my fault?
- Why am I put in low-priority queue for a crash that's not my fault?

Scenario: You are mid-match when this crash occurs. When you go to verify game files, the download bar is stuck at 0%.
- Switch to your 2nd steam account (IMPORTANT: You must make a second steam account that has access to Deadlock).
- Launch Deadlock from this 2nd account (The files will begin to verify).
- Once the files have been verified and Deadlock begins to launch, you can cancel the launch.
- Switch back to the main steam account.
- Launch Deadlock.
