Bad Matchmaking Thread

Just stop putting leavers in my games and it might be okay, matchmaking has been utter crap recently and the ranked changes haven't helped. Four (I think, maybe three) games in a row tonight had leavers in them. What's the point in playing if you can't get a handle on something like this?

I've got people dying constantly, I've got people who don't look at the map, who wander off solo. What the hell is going on? I can't even practice new characters in non ranked anymore as you killed that off too.

I love this game, it's awesome, but the matchmaking is absolutely your achilles heel right now.

absurd skill disparity, some dudes clearly almost never played. Solo queue as usual is a coin toss, complete random skill pairings

Do not post matchids for games that were within the past 24 hours from this post. Games older than that are fine and games going forward are fine.

All of those matches were in a row, in all of them, the matchmaking puts 1 or 2 people in my team that are not on the level of the rest of the team, and they just ruin the whole game making a terrible experience to all of us. i'm in the top 100 leaderboards as seven in south america and in one of those games (the one with the *) one of the players in my team just says that he doesn't know how to play the game and just goes 0 12 0.

I used to love playing this game but i'm having a terrible experience in the past 1-2 months. 90% of the games i lose is due to this problem. somebody who shouldn't been on our team just ruins the experience for everyone else. i don't care about losing if its a fair game but having a great lane, great farm, great hero damage, great objective damage only to lose because someone can't keep up with the rest of the team is terrible.

the worst part is the game doesnt care about my performance at all. doesnt matter if i'm the one who did more damage to players, objectives, farm etc. if i lost i lost.
 
you're better off turning matchmaking completely off, the game is straight up unplayable with the current system. people that think the game is balanced are completely delusional, not seeing the clear skill gap that is present in literaly every single match. The removal of ranked has completely and utterly destroyed matchmaking. I have not played a balanced match once. It's either stop or be stomped, and it's clear by 3 minutes which one it is. Matchmaking has gotten only worse the more the game has been updated. A failure of unbelievable proportions, I am truly disappointed/

From begging i had on my line guy who was playing to much well and i cant handle him I struggled entire match that i was decided to have enough and just abandon match just for my teammates to leave ....
 
I'm quitting the game after close to 1000hr and it's all due to unbelievably horrible matchmaking. You need to reset mmr and everyone starts at 0 and go up. The amount of players that clearly have no idea how to play the game yet are in high-ish mmr is just outright ridiculous. The game is unplayable because you get "casual play for fun" people with 0 amount of hours that got a random decent mmr getting randomly carried managing to hover all while more or less throwing games. I'm tired of playing games with MAYBE 1 other player being able to perform at all with 0 communication all while getting told to shut the fuck up (most common response) when trying to ask a mute team to defend or push an objective instead of afk farming jungle.

I will keep up to date with patches to see if anything is done about matchmaking but unless something "radical" as suggested above is done I'm for sure not playing again. The game is good, polished for being so early and a lot of fun playing. The matchmaking is just so bad that it takes everything else away.

The reported lobby average rank between the teams were very close (within 1 sub rank) but it was a very unbalanced game. The victorious team still had all their buildings when they won the game.

This is my fourth game as Shiv and I don't understand how Amber Hand was supposed to be higher rank than Sapphire Flame.

Neither the Yamato nor the Bebop had any business in this lobby, and while I rallied, I can only think that after dozens of matches like this, that there are a huge amount of players having zero fun or able to learn the game with how hard I'm seeing these players get stomped into the ground.

I've also only been playing for a little over a week, but what are my odds of actually progressing rank and possibly getting better lobbies when my Win/Loss record is always going to be negative from getting matches like these?

Again, I'm way out of the league of players I'm up against and am just getting stomped every match. I've decided to quit for a while because I'm just not having fun anymore.
