Hero Idea - Madame (Fortune Teller)

Abilities:
  • A1: Malevolent Gaze
    • Medium to long range hit-scan beam that deals escalating spirit damage and an escalating fire rate slow. Weapon is disabled while this ability is being used. Damage scales with spirit.
      • T1: Range increased.
      • T2: Becomes charged and the ceiling of the fire rate slow is increased.
      • T3: Builds up a silence on targets.
    • Addendum: I think it may look strange if the ability was displayed as an actual beam. Rather, I think using sound cues and changing the appearances of the hero and target(s) would lead to less visual clutter.
  • A2: Tarot Drawing
    • Draw a tarot card which applies a semi-random AOE buff to you and nearby allies (either move speed, fire rate increase, or spirit power). Buff strength scales with spirit power.
      • T1: Increased radius + duration
      • T2: Decreased cooldown
      • T3: Able to choose which card is drawn/buff is applied.
  • A3: Premonition (i.e. Counterspell Plus)
    • Prime yourself or an ally and (within a short duration) negate the next instance of incoming spirit damage. If any damage is successfully blocked, the target gains both spirit/bullet resists (resists scale with boons).
      • T1: On damage block, the target (and/or you) see the attacker through walls for a short duration.
      • T2: Increased prime duration/ resist duration
      • T3: If cast on self, the closest ally in the casting radius will also have premonition applied. If cast on ally, it is also self-cast.
  • A4/Ult: Matchmaker/Binding of Fates - "You fought together; now die together!"
    • Choose two targets; a portion of incoming damage and applied debuffs to one target are also applied to the other and vice versa (i.e. ricochet bullets but also for spirit damage/debuffs). The effect terminates if the targets move far enough away from one another. Percentage of damage shared scales with spirit.
      • T1: Decreased cooldown
      • T2: Increased damage shared.
      • T3: Can now be applied to three targets.
    • Addendum: I'd want this to activate by holding down a key, moving the cursor over targets to select them, then releasing to apply (or releasing and confirming/cancelling). It'd reduce the amount of clicking.

Weapon: Orbuculum (a crystal ball). No ideas about the fire rate or gun mechanics.

Misc.
  • In my head, I see her as a former aristocrat (hence the title madame) who either became disillusioned with power or was forced out of high society. I can't say for sure which, but I see her as being less cold and more empathetic than lady geist (but still authoritative and demanding of respect).
  • As for motivations for completing the ritual, I think she'd be looking for a missing family member (and enjoy the irony that a fortune teller wouldn't know the answer to such a question).
  • Regarding her name, "Madame" seems too short to me, but I can't think of a good one either. I thought about calling her Matchmaker, but that doesn't really align with her kit completely.
  • If I had to choose one aspect of her kit I'd want to see in the game, I'd be her ult. I think making enemies share damage is an interesting concept that's good for winning the laning phase and securing picks later in the game (e.g. you get a target low, they try to run away, but you link them to a closer enemy, and by shooting the closer enemy you also kill the lower health target).
