Jean Delacroûte, a completely mad French baker, is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant with surprising range. He wields his famous overcooked baguette like a weapon. But his true power doesn't come from the bread… it comes from his artisanal flour (or so we hope), a secret substance known only to him.
Having arrived from France, Jean was initially just a passionate craftsman, respected for his expertise and his obsession with the perfect loaf. In New York, he wanted to share the excellence of French baking.
But everything changed.
In an old, abandoned mill, he discovered a different kind of flour.
Not white.
Not gray.
Alive.
It breathes slowly. It rises without water. It whispers when you touch it.
From that day on, Jean was no longer the same.
His bread no longer just nourishes… it changes people.
Some customers return. Too often.
Others… never return.
And Jean, with a smile cracked like an overcooked crust, repeats :
“They eat the bread… but it’s the bread that eats them.”

JEAN'S BAKERY, Neutral Map Objective
General Concept
Several small bakeries on the map (2 or 3, at strategic neutral points), like upgraded neutral camps. Any player can interact with them, but Jean receives unique benefits.
For ALL players
By capturing/interacting with the bakery :
Receive a Cursed Bread, a temporary consumable that grants a small boost to resistance or healing.
But with a random side effect: slight control inversion for 2 seconds, or uncontrollable laughter (animation), or mini-blindness. You never know what you're eating
The bakery recharges after a certain time, like a neutral camp
The idea : everyone wants the buff, but no one knows exactly what they'll get. It's risky, funny, and consistent with the lore.
For Jean specifically:
Jean is the only one who knows the true recipe, so he's immune to negative effects and receives significantly greater bonuses:
Interacting with a bakery partially recharges his abilities.
He can replenish his bags of flour (additional charges for Ability 1).
If Jean controls a bakery, his Bakerserker lasts longer in the area.
His bakery becomes a mini flour spawn zone, the ground around it is lightly dusted with flour, slowing down passing enemies.
What this brings to the game :
An additional map objective to contest, creating natural fights outside of lanes.
Jean becomes a character with territorial presence, not just a fighter, but someone who wants to control. Her bakeries.
The unpredictable nature of the bread for other players adds a layer of fun and risk/reward.
It anchors Jean in the geography of 1900s New York in a way that is consistent with the lore.
Thanks for reading, this is my first time creating a character but the world of Deadlock "inspired" me and sorry for my English which is not perfect.
