[Character Concept] Hou Si the monkey’s paw practitioner

Lore: Hou Si is a Chinese American who’s making his money from underground fight clubs using his Hou Quan kung fu (monkey kung fu). Hou Si is a skilled practitioner in his trained martial arts taking advantage of weak points on his enemies such as throat and eye strikes. One night after losing a fight in the underground fight club Hou Si stumbles through an alley way and sees a decomposing hairy hand dangling out of a dumpster. In a daze Hou Si grabs the hand out to inspect it. As he inspects it he hears a voice whisper asking for what he wishes for. In his delirious state he wishes to be stronger. The paw merges with his left arm taking control of it. Hou Si’s fighting in the ritual to separate himself from the monkey’s paw. He’s sceptical towards both patrons and their wish granting capabilities.

Left click: Hou Si does a melee combo using his legs his right arm and then a final hit with his left arm. The leg kicks are aimed towards the opponents’ knees applying slight slow. The right arm palm strike pushes back a little and then the monkey paws punch does a large amount of knockback.

Right click: The monkey paw fires out a small beam that gets charged up after landing a full melee string.

1st move Paw’s Lunge

The paw presses off the ground and launches Hou Si into the air and then does a swipe mid air before landing. Tier 1 lowers the wind up on the launch, tier 2 increases the damage and melee scaling of the swipe, tier 3 allows for a quick second launch after landing.

2nd move False steps

Hou Si shuffles out of the way in the direction of the held input. This move has iframes during the shuffle. This move starts with 2 charges. Tier 1 adds 1 extra charge and lowers the cooldown/refresh rate, tier 2 extends the distance of the dash and tier 3 adds 1 more charge and allows for a double press which allows Hou Si to dash back where he initially was.

3rd move Mischief

This is a passive that applies after landing a full melee string which powers up Hou Si’s right click and gives him melee damage amp but at a cost for negative resistance. Tier 1 upgrade makes the right click fire off faster, tier 2 makes the stat changes less damaging to Hou Si, Tier 3 makes removes the negative resistance.

4th move Last Wish

This move functions differently based off Hou Si’s health. At full health Hou Si puts the paw out and sprints and grabs anyone in the way and then tosses them away and fires one of their charged beams this move does decent damage but can’t kill scaling off melee on the grab and spirit on the beam. At half health Hou Si draws back the paw ready for a charged up punch then twists his arm as he fires off the punch and then leaves a big shockwave afterwards knocking people upwards, if hit by the fist directly it does 25% of their health and has a kill threshold the shockwave does a flat damage rather than a percentage scaling off melee. At low health the paw shields Hou Si and then teleports him to the nearest friendly zipline and applies a self-slow which slows him on the zipline too and puts the move on cd for 180 seconds.
