7 day ban in one game because I'm unlucky enough to queue into a griefing stack that mass reports after abusing me over voice chat all game.

They don't need it. 5k online is enough for testing. U will just get banned for report system abuse. We'll just eat this crap and get back into the game no matter what they do, when they want to, that's what they think and they're almost right. I just don't play the game 3 last days, cus i hate devs and i know if i run the game i will abuse that report system too.

I cannot believe they spent any amount of time implementing a ranked system at this stage. What is going on at Valve?

After play two games earlier today, I login about 15 minutes ago and find out I'm comms banned. I'm not entirely sure why, the worst thing I told someone today was to "go touch grass". Why is that causing a comms ban?

Same thing, i was banned for a reason about 5 days ago, got unbanned and after two days got banned again for no reason

Today 7 days of blocking ends, for the sake of testing I will play all rating matches with the chat and microphone turned off, I disconnected the wire from the microphone and will not use anything at all, not even pings and the chat wheel. I am 100% sure that after 3-5 games I will get blocked again, after that I will write.

We've come to the point where people with mute can't play rating, but when playing rating you're afraid to write in the chat and speak into the microphone, well, if that's how the system works, we'll rely on it.

A couple games earlier, the enemy team said "aimbot, reported". I did not get banned immediatly after though.
I remember 2 more other cases where I got called out a cheater and been reported for it.
Today I had 2 games in a row where my KD was around 5.
I am now banned, did not use chat, only for things like "vindicta afk".

These were the games I played today until I got banned.

I do not believe Ive used a single cursing word in chat in a very long time, not even "stupid".
I suspect most my reports have been cheating reports that concluded into a communication ban.

I feel very sad about this punishment as I was having a great streak of games, had fun, met lots of people and was reaching a nice rank.
I am not sure about what to do AFTER my ban, do I turn off voice/chat in order to avoid future punishments? I legitimately dont know what to do as I cant remember any moment where I use a slur

Peeps are furious so makes sense tbh and since there is no response we just keep voicing the problem anywhere possible hence why people making alts, disabling voice/chat cause they simply don't know what to do.

Some people obviously deserve it but too many false positives out there

The funny and scary thing is that even by disabling the mic button and disabling the chat button, you are not immune to getting banned.
I don't even want to start playing ranked games after unbanning, because I'm sure I'll get banned again in 1-2 games because someone decided to make a joke and report everyone. And will be banned again for a longer period of time.

I think all unfair banned players should record their games after ban and if they will get comm restriction another time they will have a material to prove that there is no reason for comm ban

We must not record anything, all matches are saved automatically and can be replayed anytime using unique matchId, but who cares

I dont think voice chat is recorded, also, it could be a nice youtube video, @smehp787 I will try recording from now, eventho my fps already isnt great. recording might make it even worse

The worst thing about talking about report systems is that there's certain people that will ALWAYS blame the victim no matter what.

just got comms banned for saying L each time the enemy seven died (seven was calling me all sorts of nasty names and tbagin each time he killed me) does this really deserve a ban? can provide the match id if needed!
