The report and ban system is even worse than you might think...

As you can see, there are a lot of people complaining about getting false positive comms bans. I used to think they were just a lying kids who couldn't keep their mouths shut, but here I am, comms banned again. I haven’t said anything rude or offensive, not even a single word that, taken out of context, would sound bad. I don’t say things like "rep this person" in chat etc., but it seems like that doesn’t matter.

After the first ban, I realized that maybe if you just use pings, voice, or chat and get false reports from angry players, the automated system bans you. So, I decided to keep playing without using any form of communication. And guess what?

I got comms banned again...

I’m 31, and throwing slurs at everyone isn’t really my style. I was just playing ranked matches for fun and did pretty well. Despite two comms bans, I was promoted twice (Oracle I > III > V).

So, this report system is completely broken and super easy to abuse. At this point, if you want to flame someone or be a straight-up asshole, just go for it, you’ll get banned anyway

I am taking a break from the game, but I hope they fix this issue because it feels like Russian roulette.

Uninstalled until I'm unbanned for this reason. The game is fairly unplayable in ranked without comms

I'm only 30 so..

On special occasions I will inquire with my teammates, different stuff. Like if they had their morning coffee and maybe misclicked Deadlock while they intended to play Path of Exile, which could be the reason for them staying in jungle up until 35 minute mark with highest net worth in team and losing shrines with 0-2-1 score...

Not comms banned once
Not report banned once even though I routinely report "matchmaking issue" on players who IMO are misplaced in their ranking.
