False coms ban

I got a false comms ban because the calico and celeste in this match told everyone I was saying the N word in voice chat and I got reported by everyone in the lobby. But the thing is, I didn't say a word in VC once. I've NEVER used voice chat in this game because I only have headphones and NOT a microphone/ I don't type either, and I just use help pings and context pings. The calico was mad that I was 1-2 early game/ and they were doing nothing to push objectives and being belligerent to EVERYONE on the team. My score didn't improve over the course of the game as you can see, but that's not the point. I didn't say a single word all game and got a comms ban????????

Chat bans need to be manually verified by valve. Their system auto bans if everyone in a lobby reports, I'm unsure if the game records voice but I don't even know what to do in this situation. Literally silent, and enjoying the game. And I get a comms ban for enjoying the game?

It's not going to affect me since I already don't talk in game, but it's ANNOYING.

Anybody that makes false reports should be booted from the playtest permanently/ IP banned after valve verifies the report.

The current ban system is way too overly aggressive and easy to manipulate. Not to mention what the massive number of crashes occurring since new/old gods update is getting tons of people banned, because they can't reconnect to the game in time after a crash due to steam refusing to verify the files

i agree.

I've NEVER spoken in this game or used text chat, and have a comms ban, which is VERY concerning that it's automated and to such a severe degree.

It's way too abusable, meanwhile people that abuse these systems likely never see recourse
