Chico T. renaming Suggestion

I think “Lash” should be translated as “Chicó” instead of “Chico” for two main reasons, one cultural and one phonetic. First, “Chicó” immediately evokes the character Chicó from O Auto da Compadecida by Ariano Suassuna, which carries a strong cultural identity, especially tied to northeastern Brazilian speech and humor, giving the name much more personality and flavor, whereas “Chico” is just a very common and neutral name with no particular association. Second, from a phonetic and semantic standpoint, “lash” can refer to a whip strike, which in Portuguese is “chicote”, and if you look at the sound structure, “Chicó” preserves the stressed syllable “có”, which is the most prominent part of “chicote”, while “Chico” shifts the stress to the first syllable and loses that connection entirely, making “Chicó” feel like a more natural and meaningful shortening derived from “chicote”. So overall, “Chicó” not only carries more cultural weight but also aligns better with the original meaning and sound of “lash”, while “Chico” ends up being too generic and disconnected.

Em outras palavras se o time de tradução for brasileiro... Chico T. parece chicô t. que n se aproxima, mas se vc chamar de chicó em referencia ao auto da compadecida, por exemplo, Chicó T. parece chicote de verdade. E seria uma boa referencia a uma obra brasileira renomada.
