Bad Matchmaking Thread

The change to rank put me at a much higher rank than I should be. This last game was really bad. I am done testing until this is fixed.

average team rank disparity pretty wild. statlocker says the phantom average team was a 6 stack as well, idk how accurate statlocker is.Screenshot 2025-10-27 074940.png

Green lane got totally trashed in 5 minutes and the game snowballed from there. Got told "it's non-competitive queue chill out bro" which literally isn't true and not how the game currently works. Please stop making matches like this thanks.

Lash and Bebop kept dying all the time and were both going full throttle. It was the first time I had played with Lash, and he said his main was Infernus, so he didn't know how to play the character and kept dying all the time. Then Bebop spent half the game dying in the jungle at the hands of Pocked over and over again.

This game is designed so that teams with very poor skills vs team with good skills
You either get one or the other; there is no middle ground.

MM isn't the only problem. The problem is that many people don't know how to play as a team and make mistakes over and over again. The simple fact that someone on your team doesn't know how to play is enough to lose, as they will die so much that the enemy team will get more kills and more souls. It's always the same pattern of people dying several times early on, only for the opposing team to get stronger and there to be nothing you can do about it.

45929940 - I'm sure a much better player than me could have won this game, but it definitely didn't feel like there was anything I could've done since both lanes that weren't mine just went 1-7 or so and lost guardians immediately, then proceeded to just kind of afk around the map and not respond to voice or pings.

This is basically the opposite of some games I had yesterday where I felt there was nothing I could have done to lose. The overall matchmaking seems to be too willing to make high-skillgap games where some teams are better than others (or maybe just some players are way better than others). Teams need to be more homogeneous in skill.

I used statlocker (flawed I know) to check where the players in all these games stood in terms of win rate, player and obj damage per minute/kda/damage taken/etc. and each time it seems very obvious that one team has way more low win% players that also have lower than the median damage/kda/etc for most stats, so it seems predictable from the outset what team will win.
