Bad Matchmaking Thread

game was just uneven from the laning stage, they had a 50k soul advantage for about 15 minutes
if i had to guess it was a 5 stack on the blue team and two 3 stacks on the yellow team from the level of coordination that was happening lol

28331669 - the lady geist on my team was feeding the enemy team souls via death by constantly diving them, by the time our guardian came down they had 6 deaths vs my 2 deaths. picked up the urn and "bought it to the wrong location" even tho its highlighted in green when its picked up by anyone on our team. made the game unplayable by gigafeeding the enemy
 
28328987: I've been encountering a lot of these "bot account" much like the ones in TF2 in asia server. From the time of 12AM to 6AM. Making these game not very fun. Usually they don't do anything and really affect the match experience.
 
Please stop putting me in matches where I am paired with players that have ether never touched the game or have no hours on that hero. Yes I know that is happening because at this point with the amount of matches I have played recently it is very clear the overall time played is factored in when calculating teams but for some reason the amount of time played on a hero is not.

I am certain this is or something close is true as well because I just got out of a match where I had to babysit a lane against a fed Yamato because the Wraith I was teamed with un-ironically didn’t know Yamato’s ult made them immune to cc. The Yamato and the Haze on the other quite obviously knew what they were doing because they were literally pulling out all the tricks when it came to their heroes.

And you know what… when the wraith finally died for the 5th time in less than 7 minutes, you know what happened; they roamed around map, still managing to get themselves killed, mainly in 2 vs 1 in their favor. I would say they were throwing if it wasn’t obvious they were trying really hard not to die, the same way most new players do.

I get match making can be difficult but it is incredibly disheartening when your unofficially told, you will not only have to deal with the other team but you also have to baby sit your own team member who does not know anything. As in I want a fair fight, not a slow death that makes the game feel like a massive waste of time, or a steam roll that feels hollow.

Oh and do you want to know the kicker to all of this, this was my secondary choice hero. Luckily I have been trying to learn another hero, so I was using the hero I usually play but I cannot imagine the frustration, anger and just overall animosity that would have been generated if I had to play that match on a hero I wasn’t used to playing.

Overall if time played on hero is not calculated into how teams are formed and or just lowly weighted, please change the current system as I swear it is going to breed toxicity out of sheer frustration.

50k soul dif in 19 minutes with them stalling out for 3 minutes at the end just trash talking and taunting. Coordinated team with 2 people who don't miss a single shot against randos with no comms.
 
It's not appropriate for the matchmaking algorithm to be matching one high skilled player and one low skilled player on the same team and then putting two medium players against them. Overwhelmingly the high skilled player will carry the game. This is literally just happening in every single game I am playing in OCE. It's absolutely boring as hell and just makes me want to stop playing, even when you're on the winning side. It's not fun.

Solution: If you're going to put an Ascendent 6 on one team, don't balance it by putting more Archons on that team, balance it by giving THE OTHER TEAM AN ASCENDENT PLAYER. I just played two games in a row with the same player and the exact same thing happened in both games. Between games, the queue literally popped immediately which means that the matchmaking algorithm isn't even waiting 1-2 minutes to find that player someone reasonable to match him with, it's just literally balancing it with Archon players on his team.

Hi Valve, do you take hardware and networking into account?

I have two setups:

laptop: 60fps, 144hz IPS, high input latency, high ping/unstable public wifi.

pc: 500fps, 240hz OLED, low input latency, low/stable network connection with

This legitimises smurfing as i cannot perform nearly as well on my laptop. Could be a case of 'not Valves problem', but it does compromise your matchmaking. Please consider adding these factors to the data if you guys havent already.
 
Is there even a matchmaking system here?

Their team is several ranks higher and most of my team don't have ranks.

Why are your doing this to us?

Seems like several of the enemy team are playing at a higher level than people on my team. My lane went (I was the Vindicta) had a balanced MMR in my opinion, but the rest was just off and the felt unwinnable from the start.

An absolutely unbelieveably lop-sided game where the enemy team had a 50k soul difference at 10min mark where our walkers were pushed in with no chance for a comeback after your Yamato left.

I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on with matchmaking, but it feels like the last week - even if I would have a decent solo lane where I win my lane - the entire rest of the team have their walkers pushed in, the enemy team has much higher skill level than on my team or and/or there's no chance of winning no matter how much one would try. Sprinkle on top leavers and griefers, which I have reported, and there's an absolutely unwinnable recipe.

To back up my claim: No matter what hero I pick, it feels like an absolutely unwinnable match and it just feels so unbeliveably unfair.

0 17 bebop with 8k damage in a 40 minute game in my team vs a archon haze, fair and balanced. McGinnis left game early, cant even win a 5v6 if we have someone playing for the enemy team 28375591

Why is ranked putting uncalibrated people who can't play in top 5% matches? They are either smurfs or useless, there's never inbetween. Or even straight feeding. High ranked should be earned with playing, not accessible by every level 1 steam account. Absolutely ridiculous. It no wonder the player base is dying. The game doesn't punish bad behavior. Valve has been aware of these issues for every multiplayer game they've made, and keep making the same mistakes.
