He arrived in New York with the confidence of a man, absolutely convinced he was chosen by the heavens. Armor shining, banner fluttering behind him, and a smile far too bright for a city running on coffee and panic.

To him, the appearance of the Patrons upon the world was not a catastrophe, not a cosmic threat, not even a mystery. He believed, completely, wholeheartedly, that they were the long-foretold heralds of divine revelation. Messengers of the Holy Light. Wingless Angels. God’s loudest wake-up call.

Every sensible priest, scholar, and mage he bragged to told him he was wrong.

He never listened.

The strange part is this: something did answer him.
Not the Patrons.
Not any known celestial force.
Something older. Quiet. Patient. A true divine presence that found his blind faith… entertaining? Admirable? Useful? Even he doesn’t know.

All he knows is that when he prays, the air glows.
When he swings his relic, the ground shakes.
When he calls for miracles, light actually appears.

He assumes it’s the Patrons blessing him.
It absolutely is not.
But the entity empowering him does not correct him.

New York calls him “that loony knight guy who glows.”
He calls himself “One of God's chosen”
The truth lies somewhere in between.
"Do you hear it Seven? The divine watches and whispers all around!"

"You're not as special as you think... Everyone can hear it.."

"Then you too must be one of god's chosen!"

"I plan on becoming god"

Channel holy energy onto friendly target, building power the longer it's channeled. Once max or canceled, heal them and dealing True Damage to all nearby enemies in radius. Allies within radius of Purification receive 30% of the healing done. The longer it is channeled, the more heal and damage is dealt.

You disarm yourself and glow with holy power, granting +27m cast range, +5m radius and -25% cool down reduction to all other abilities.

Purification can now be channeled while moving. Concentration is now a targeted area ability. Blessing affects both him and the targeted ally upon cast.

During Divine Intervention, recast onto a ally, after a short delay, teleports the targeted friendly hero to your location. If the targeted ally or you take player based damage during this time, the ability is interrupted. One use per cast.

Your melee strikes restore 115 health to you and 65 health to allies in radius, 3s cool down. 10m radius

Activate to drop the aura in place increasing it's range, allies will be healed over time and enemies take spirit damage over time inside the radius

Thoughts and finishes

I really like Omniknight and Kotl, i am sure a lot of people enjoy healing roles in all types of video games. There is plenty of room for other healers. The idea started with Risk of Rain's healing item Bustling Fungus, as an aura that drops after standing still for 10s. I liked it but i couldn't think up a Mushroom hero and a lot of people already have put out some good ideas! I imagined a techies like hero as many others have too! But I decided to just focus on a character that could just heal like a healer but still play Deadlock. I think Techie's trap planting will be split apart among different heroes with different effects and strategies rather than making it hero specific. I think Suicide Squad,Attack/Blast off are funny abilities.
