Side movement occasionally stunted A & D key

Lately I've been noticing my character will sometimes just flat-out refuse to strafe/move left or right when holding the key. Seems to happen way more frequently trying to strafe left with 'A' key. Feels like I'm suddenly walking into a wall but nothing is there that should actually be stopping me. Can't figure out a way to replicate the bug but it feels pretty bad when it happens.

Legit keep having times the A key is essentially just diabled for deadlock, it always happens after an enemy ability is used on me.

Only fix is usually relaunching deadlock.

I can alt tab and use the A key just fine, here I have had no issues.....but in deadlock it's not often but it's not never, a certain enemy, let's say an Apollo, will make it so if they hit me with an ability, no longer does the A work.

If you can't tell, I am saying it's cheating, not an issue with the game.

I've only had it happen in response to enemy ability, and even when I relaunch to fix it, that person will do it again that game. And it's only that game. Works instantly again in hideout, key works in all other programmes, etc etc

Every week I see a new way subs are hacking in this game since it's a Valve game they allow to outright promote cheating....

Found this reddit post. We aren't alone! I hadn't considered it being a hacking/cheating thing but it does seem possible because like you said - it never happens in lobby/training/sandbox only in actual matches. Could also be an odd latency thing possibly but my connection is usually rock solid so idk.

add in never happens in bot games as well, my kid loves to play bot games and he'd definitely notice and tell me if the a key stopped working, and he does strange absurd psycho 5 year old shit, so he's edge case tested a lot of shit I'm sure lol

he is a vyper main though, so unless her unique things somehow also prevent it
