Snicker's Community Hero Labs Mod for Deadlock | DL Mods
Hero Labs is dead, long live Hero Labs... A Deadlock (DL) Mod in the Gameplay Modifications category, submitted by SnickerPuffs
So I installed these mods and tried them out privately, and I must say, some of these would make for fine additions.
My personal favourite? The defensive homunculus in Snicker's/Mimic Tear in Emporium. Basically, you self disarm yourself, and you gain a turret that shoots similar to your bullets. Now, the synergies are not perfect (at least in Snickers and Emporium to a lesser extent), and it copies over the gun status at the time (or in some cases when you activate a gun adjust, the turret will get it), but the idea is very perfect. There was an interesting use case that Yamato's ult will allow you to use gun and negate the disarm, even after the ultimate.
This can really open up spirit heroes to playing gun in interesting ways. It is also a nice T4 gun item to counter disarm, and in order to use your gun when you're holding down people, you have to set it up a bit. Which, well, is fair.
I also like the item that is the spirit version of hunter's aura, that reduces cooldown, duration and increases speed. I also like the feel of escape key (frenzy but hp version, in terms of moving faster, more stamina recovery + more move speed at lower hp), and another active reload that grants you a bit of stamina regen for the next second. I also like clutch button where your abilities are stronger when lower hp (duration, spirit power and range),. I like the idea of exploding bullets, however the aerial assault (which is using reused code) in it's current form is broken imo.
I also like in emporium an item that increases your heavy melee distance, but reduces your melee damage. I think for balance, make the next heavy melee go further, but do less damage, and only goes on cooldown if you hit somebody. So basically you can move around more, and it does less damage on first attack, then the next attacks do more damage before the next cooldown. So in combat or fresh out of combat, you won't be able to move as much. However, the first hit will be to get closer to them, perhaps build some stacks, then you will be having more damage before next heavy melee sprint. Make sure the cooldown is longer than lifestrike, to also reward buying that item as well
I also like the items that can increase reload time, reduce weapon accuracy on build up and a gun version of fury trance, where your accuracy gets worst (but no silence), with increased reload speed during active.
I also like the item where your slide does damage and builds into (modified?) electric slippers. An upgrade to metal skin to reflect even more damage also sounds nice as well, it comes with a stronger negative self debuff. I love a healing tempo variant where it gives everyone a time speed up (similar to Paradox carbine). A modified mystic piano (I think?) that seems pretty nice too. Ammo scavenger on top of the ammo back (that was moved into everyone) would be a very nice item in lane. Same with gaining a heal per boon. It upgrades into an item where every 280 seconds (big time amount), it makes next respawn be 50%. This would be quite nice when you're ahead, but also good when you're behind to force a fight. Seems healthy in concept. Shadow strike can also be a pretty good addition as well, especially in it's current form, where I think it may be modified to be in line? Another item that's nice is a power nap item, where you sleep for like 20 (maybe 15 for fairness?) seconds, but get refreshed a lot of cooldown. Perhaps the longer you sleep, the more cooldown you get? That way, you can sleep at spawn or during a roam (like a vent, or even sliding down), or before a teamfight to get your abilities back up. Perhaps when you get duration increase for items, you sleep longer, but you can gain even more cooldown. Perhaps unstoppable won't prevent the sleep on activation, but perhaps it prevents people from waking you up? It only stops the sleep walking (only able to slide and move around). Could have some very interesting use cases. Modified haunting shot can be very nice as well as a T4 gun item to start a fight.
Another item that seems pretty nice, that causes the opponent to take more npc damage, and reduces weapon accuracy. Lane modifying items seem pretty cool. There is a nice support item that juices the abilities modifiers (range, duration), be it around you, or applied onto a target as a cast. Another one where you negate a character's range and duration, and another that healing makes your ally a bit more tankier and have a bit more debuff resistance.
The numbers and quite a bit of the items seem either awkward, or overtuned, however there are some pretty nice concepts.
