Abilities:
Gather the Leaves-mid range ability, dealing spirit damage and pulling enemies into proximity of The Scarecrow and its abilities after a delay. Can be used on the ground or in air.
Cull the Crops-close range melee damage scaling nuke that comboes the pull and heals Scarecrow for a % of health on hit, basically a half circle that slashes in front of scarecrow
Scare the Birds-active part: target receives a % decrease to any damage it deals to the Scarecrow, and gets slower movement speed and dashes.
Dull aura-passive part: characters in close proximity of Scarecrow have 50% longer cooldowns.
Mindless Slaughter: big single target nuke. Scarecrow brutally slashes their target. If Scarecrow succeeds to kill its target with the slash, it steals 4 spirit power from the target permanently.(could be upgraded by a talent)
The weapon: Absence of Wisdom
The Scarecrow uses the sickle to send slow-traveling crescent-shaped horizontal projectiles. This couldn’t protect the farm people from their brutal demise, filling The Scarecrow with guilt.
Visual concept and lore: The character is a worn Scarecrow with a straw hat and a silly unnerving face that expresses no emotions, or no face at all, hiding it under the hat. It is armed with a rake and a sickle, stumbling around when it walks. Scarecrow probably isn’t very talkative and has no voice, mostly expressing agreement or disagreement by shaking its head, creaks, and haunting howls in some cases. It has (mostly one sided) interactions with baxter society members recognizing it as a cryptid. The Scarecrow has witnessed Drifter’s massacre in Oklahoma(and was animated by the farm people's restless souls shortly after) so it hates him with passion. The Scarecrow wishes to be smart enough to take down Drifter and that’s why it joined the ritual. While an idea of two actively hostile towards each other characters on one team is daring, we kind of have that already with a couple of characters (Grey Talon and Drifter, Pocket and Calico)and I think it would be interesting to see dialogue written around two enemies meeting on one team.
The gameplay idea of this character is basically to be a tanky response to spirit nukers and a way to counter pick them, pull them, cull them for big damage, scare them, run them down and eventually take their brains for that spirit power boost.
