Nono,my First 10 games I went from Alch 1 to initiate 1 in the span of like 10-15 games. So, this account definitely has it.

yea, its not serious atm exactly, smurfs are annoying tho i will say... but i can understand why people would do it when they got so much better at the game since starting
i meant like obscure to initiate "2" (or whatever the glitched one is meant to be), it has to be from obscure
I mean, why would alt accounts be ban worthy? I can see the argument for smurfing to ruin other players experience or for ban evasion but if someone wanted to make a new steam account for every game I don't know who would care. Though I also don't see why you would make new accounts other than the rank system leaving something to be desired but that I assume is more a quirk of things being in beta rn, theres now way the current ranking system is final.
i will say, if you do find out anything, let us know, would be nice to know wtf is happening.
i also think this might be a real thing, but as far as i know, if you have high win rate within your last 10 games, it will put you with players with low win rate within their last 10 games against people with 40-50% win rate within their last 10 games or a person from a rank WAY higher than yours (i believe this is a matchmaking exploit when teaming up with someone in initiate or obscure rank) meaning, for initiate games, you just get put with feeders against either other people stuck in initiate 2 or smurfs... its really just an initiate rank problem honestly... it's not fun here, trust me... people can tell me "just get good and carry" but... im already doing that often... im still stuck here... my win streak record is like 7-8 (maybe its just 6 i just dont wanna bring the curse upon all of us)

Winrate doesn’t matter. Game measures your personal perfomance. You can rank up on a loss.
personal experience, it obviously doesnt work in a party tho, but as a solo player, its how its coded, it will give you harder oponnents with the same teammates youd normally get, this is especially bad in initiate from the amount of people abusing smurfs, its basically impossible to get out of the initiate 2 bug for solo players because of this. like i cant carry if the guy is 20-0 with his smurf friend going 10-0 along side him... even if i dont die, i cant do much against that even with a carry character lol
it might not be as noticeable in higher ranks, but in initiate, its absolutely visible because of how shit the matchmaking is down here (and as far as i know, everywhere else for that matter... its just way worse in initiate)

so... update, managed to get my account out of initiate 2... took a 12 win streak... then i lost once and now its just gone down the drain, as if i never even was in initiate 3 to begin with... i can win 2-5 in a row while carrying + getting mvp, it doesnt matter, if i lose once, im back down to 2 no matter what, even if i win 6 in a row in initiate 3
btw... it really shouldnt be that hard to rank up... like just in general, people in oracle + with 1k+ games dont move in ranks much cause of how hard it is to rank up... i'm sure this is working "as intended" (not the negative mmr part of this issue... clearly thats not working as intended) but it sure as hell isnt a great way to show the player that they've been improving... like OFC im gonna be shit for like 50-100+ games when im learning a new game... why should me being bad at the start ruin my entire playing experience? make it make sense... its not normal that i can make an alt and reach ascended 4-5 super fast but my main account takes 20 games to rank me up once...

Did you actually manage to rank up? I need screenshot evidence lol. It's damn near impossible for me I've given up hope in even checking my skill rating, it never moves from initiate 2. Either way, it does not make sense that my friends rank up and down after 1 game of winning or losing while i play the same matches with them and get MVP, I stay the same. I've had several win streaks and still nothing. i agree with you, lower ranks should be easier to get out of and into while higher ranks should be harder to reach, with different amounts of wins needed, the matchmaking and rank is completely off. I also wanna ask how many games have you played in total? What's your stats? if you can share a screenshot that would be amazing thank you

Like the others have told I've seen Eternus and Oracle accounts under 50 games with less than 20 or 30% winrate

that's not a solution and also the account isn't "cursed" the rank is not being calculated correctly, the metrics are wrong from their end. so it can absolutely be fixed if they took a second to look into it

Rank is not being calculated properly due to the account flag status its the most common variable
Deadlock account flag status is not public yet so far from my observation and other testers you are grouped by number of restriction history you had in set account
If you want higher rank go make new account and gain free simple rank because of how current ranking system works otherwise suffer in your current account with higher win spree required to gain +1 rank and lose it all within 1 game loss
This has always been the case even in Dota 2 previous multiplayer game that uses the most similar ranking system

Dota 2 has been out for more than 10 years, deadlock is still in early development build, that is not remotely the same

i mean i cant screenshot it if its gone, but yes, youll have to take my word for it, for a good few hours, i was in initiate 3, took a massive win streak and 1 single loss just ranked me down instantly, on a 4 win streak rn and ive still not gone back up... so yea... honestly atp i just wanna try my best to get out of initiate in general, im fine with not being as high rank as i probably should be... but its kinda insulting that my main is stuck lol... i dont really care tho its just a challenge atp and my teammates are just the obstacles XD

i wish i was the same situation, but bro mine has to be broken my friends who i legit carry im not even that good but compared to my friends who have a quarter of my playtime it makes no damn sense that they are reaching archanist and im still in initiate
