I've been messing around with the menus in game, and I've noticed on a few different occasions where for a brief moment the shop remains open, and items can be purchased. Because you start with 800 souls you can only purchase the tier 1's. It DOES count towards your 3 items to choose from. Just wanted to share this, as I've yet to figure out how to replicate it 100% of the time.
I will usually succeed whenever I am in the sandbox area while queue'd up and with the shop open. Once the match starts, the shop will be open instead of the choose 3.
ONLY ONCE have I managed to open the shop besides at the very beginning of the match. I was playing wraith, and the round ended. as the round was ending and everything slowed down; I clicked while an enemy was targeted and was spamming 1 on an enemy hero but was also spamming m1. Then I saw the shop flash open, and as I was clicking I heard a purchase sound. I actually think I might have just picked my item from the choose 3 before they appeared, but it was INSTANTLY as the round ended. The item I purchased was also a 800 I believe! Not sure if this has been discussed or anything, but wanted to share!
