More Mythical and or Anthro characters?

I know, I know, a furry asking for more Anthro characters. but hear me out!

We have Vyper, Ivy, Krill, Rem, and technically Silver (for the anthro catagory, she is still 100% mythical)

But i think some more Anthro/Beastial characters could fit in with the vibe Deadlock is building up to have.
Why not have some more anthro characters. like a sneaky feline thief type, or a charming fox. It could maybe allow there to be another sort of group that could be fleshed out a bit more, We have Ixians, Humans, and the undead as general talking points during character interactions, but no one seems to really mention that Vyper is a walking talking Lizard, or that Krill is a walking talking mole. but people talk about Victor and Kelvin being undead, and Ixians being... Ixians.
I feel like exploring the world of the weird animal like characters would be cool, they dont have to be like super furry bait (though i wouldnt complain) and such, but just diving deeper into why there are animal like characters!
Maybe there is prejudice around them, because they are not as explainable as Ixians just being from another realm, or maybe these anthro beings are also from another realm opened from the Maelstrom, I dont really know but it would just be interesting seeing someone like Venator or Seven showing prejudice or being wary of them, while maybe people like haze and silver feel bad for them, as Haze is also non-human and Silver is as close to one of these anthro's as a human can be.

not sure, just spit balling here, let me know if this is a good idea to anyone else, or if I'm just a dummy with some crack-pot agenda </3

I have an idea for a protestant werewolf who acts as a foil to Silver, similar to Mina and Drifter.

However everything mostly exists as worldbuilding notes for two different original settings. The first is an alternate mythology crossover while the second is a spiritual successor to White Wolf's World of Darkness if it was marginally less eurocentric while also painfully mythologically accurate and overall less dated.

The main idea is a werewolf who's part of Protestant Order of Saint Thiess, which itself is under the more global Lupus Dei faction which represents the interests of all werewolves in Europe, Latin America, and recently the werehyenas of East Africa. Along with amicable ties to the royal family of the Ottoman Empire, none of which is that relevant to the character itself outside of knowing member of the Order of Saint Christopher.

The Order of Saint Christopher is based on the mistranslated of Saint Christopher of Canaan resulting in his depictions as a dogheaded man/Cynocephaly. Where the main idea I have is werewolves are divided by bloodlines rather than tribes. Specifically the Bloodline of King Lycaon of Arcadia whom most Mediterranean werewolves claim to descend from, mostly through his assumed descendant Lupa of Rome.

It was through the OoSC that they Christianized the Germanic werewolves(Fenrii or Fenling) via a heavily abridged and mistranslated version of the Bible(the werewolf equivalent of Stjórn) which conflated Fenrir with God and Adam and Eve with Hati and Sköll.

This had unforeseen consequences when the Protestant Reformation happened and the Fenrii Bible became the foundational text for most protestant werewolves, who like their human counterparts diverged greatly in interpretation which then leads to the next history lesson: New Jotunheim.

Sometime around 900AD a group of Fenlings migrated into Canada where a historical figure they claim to be the Messiah/Werewolf Jesus, was horrified of his inbred puppy status to the point of crossing pantheons to marry Sedna's sister-in-law, an arctic wolf for the sake of hybrid vigor. Incidentally making a pact to not enslave the local proto-inuit population and instead chill around the Hudson Bay where they fish, whale and manage muskox ranches for protein.

Hundreds of years later, New Jotunheim formed a pact with the British Empire, hence their involvement in the War of 1812. After that they started reconnecting with their wayward cousins and are lumped in with the order of Saint Thiess despite technically being a syncratic polytheistic catholic heresy, who's only reason for tolerating protestant immigrants is because they keep arguing among one another rather than proselytize to the locals. Along with many who have genuine interest in adopting the Saga of Svartsól as canon.

The modern Order of Saint Thiess is a decentralized protestant organization that's barely held together and only through recent events have they yet completely fallen apart due to growing extremist factions. Currently they're plotting to balkanize Canada to establish a werewolf ethno-state and are currently supporting an IRA style revolution in Quebec because they believe the British Empire's fall is inevitable and want a close ally when it happens.

Numerically, most Native American Werewolves and werecoyotes, specifically in the inland southwest, are under the Order of Saint Christopher. They love the Franciscan order.

It's really hard to write the character himself without going into an extremely long worldbuilding tangent.

That aside... I've yet to think of a name because I only came up with him a week ago.

The character himself larps as a modern-day knight with a GIANT sword and heavy pistol. Maybe a reverse-werewolf in a sense?

He has a fantastical worldview where seals are bald puppy-faced mermaids, horned Ixians are spawns of Pan, and he wants to eat Billy.

Venator tolerates him and is aware of the multiple conspiracies caused by the Order of Saint Thiess due to how much their catholic counterparts complain about them.

Alternatively, Venator might mistake him as a member of the Order of Saint Christopher only to be disappointed to learn he's part of the OoST. This is because whatshisname is a mutt.

He assumes Silver's bloodline and refers to her as a Skölldóttir the first time they meet. She has mixed feelings because on one hand he's a gentleman, but on the other he's a religious fundamentalist who's condescending to everyone who isn't a werewolf or seal. Along with general reprehension with most werewolf packs she encountered being either cringe neo-pagans who hate industrialization and its consequences or just extremely pushy at the expense of her autonomy.

Vindicta and Grey Talon can barely tolerate him. Vindicta can barely understand why his order is even willing to work directly with the Friends of Humanity while Grey Talon has first-hand experience with more extreme branches of the Order of Saint Thiess. Along with the rest of the Baxter Society which has been eyeing them.

The OSIC has the OoST listed as an organization of interest due to the plot to balkanize Canada.

As someone who's faction has a millennium-long presence in the arctic, he might be the closest to knowing Kelvin's affliction.

I've also yet to think of any actual abilities. Only that as an unironically religious werewolf, he believes in the Universal Lupus Dei commandants of:
Thou shall not
bark nor Howl
use claw nor fang
devour raw meat
devour the flesh of men
rut like beasts
rut actual beasts
steal another werewolf's livestock
And the rest are just copy-pasted from the ten commandments. Maybe some extra about managing actual livestock.

His reasons for joining the ritual are for furthering the Lupus Hegemonia agenda.

Marcus Garvey inspirations regarding his host-faction, the Order of Saint Thiess, working with the Friends of Humanity to establish a werewolf ethno-state around the Hudson Bay area, while also ensuring the FoH can establish a foothold in Quebec, possibly to counter Order of Saint Christopher's influence among the Canadian Catholic werewolf community there and encourage migration into their protestant stronghold eastwards.

Not bad, also based anti zoophile. also also, what did Canada do to him damn </3

anyway, DEADLOCK NEEDS MROE ANTHROS SO IT CAN BECOME GAYER LFGO

Add a Phoenix. Very few games have them, it'd give us another excuse for a pure support or nuke support character. (Valve can decide), give us another monster girl, and could be another excuse to make funny or cute bird sounds like Rem. Could base them on the european phoenix, the Fenghueng, or the Russian Fire Bird. All 3 are the same thing, just one is a species, one is a god, and one is a fable.

What if there was a sort of demonic fox anthro that starts off weak, relying on trickery, illusions, and mobility to survive their weaker-than-average earlygame, but as the match progresses and they gain souls/boons they gain more tails and with the addition of each tail their abilities gradually shift from situational utility to devastating powers, essentially becoming a late-game hypercarry like Seven, their full nine-tailed form would be incredibly dangerous.

Almost every hero shooter/moba has a fairly typical Kitsune character, i'd love to see Deadlock stand out and have one thats anthro with demonic themes.
