Individual Ability Idea: Mars Arena concept

Creates a circular cloud that spread out from your position. The center is cleared. Enemies cannot see through the clouds, bullets and spirit abilities interact with it as if it were a wall. Anyone can pass through the storm but enemies will take spirit damage on the initial hit and receive spirit damage over time.

Enemies can see people inside if above the wall for vision. Allowing for pings. Enemies and allies CANNOT shoot through or use abilities through the clouds, they act as a wall. As long as you have actual vision of the enemy, you can still shoot or use abilities inside the damaging part of the storm when chasing or running away.

Thoughts and finishes

I couldn't come up with a hero around this ability, I had the idea for some time and gave up after working on the others. I wanted to think of an Arena hero like Mars from Dota 2, but I know there is a lot of controversy about his ultimate. I like how it works and dont really pay attention to the outcry, since i play Mars myself. But it does need some change to be a bit different if it were to be added into Deadlock. I had to review my mental library on a work around and i found a few heroes and characters that exist who could fill that hole to create this idea. It does not have to be a storm cloud, the point of the ability is still to bring Arena into Deadlock.

I enjoy Disruptor, he was one of the first few heroes who could set up an "Arena" and hold people in place. Viper is from Valorant and from my time there playing she had a very interesting smoke game when playing.

Hurricane follows the Druid in Diablo 2, I would have also had an ability that follows and deals damage over time... but doesnt that sound too similar to Victor's Aura? I had to just mix other abilities to form this new idea.

Removing vision is very powerful, more so in deadlock, everyone can get away from a quick corner in a split second, completely losing track of the enemy even from mini map. It's something I think the devs have thought about. The hero being able to block complete vision from door ways or paths is quite powerful but since there is a choice to pass the storm.. i found that reasonable!

I am very interested in an ability where the radius shrinks or grows.
