Basic Description:
A nimble athlete that can maneuver around the battlefield and throw spiritual baseballs from their pitching mound.
Ability 1: Spirit Ball
The Pitcher throws a spiritually enhanced baseball, dealing damage to the first enemy it collides with. The Pitcher can hold down the button to charge the pitch to gain range and projectile velocity as well as additional damage based on how long they charged the spell.
Ability 2: Base Steal
The Pitcher gains a significant burst of movement speed, if The Pitcher slides into an enemy while the ability is active The Pitcher's slide can pass through enemies and inflicts some melee damage as well as an extremely brief stun.
Ability 3: Pitcher's Mound
The Pitcher creates a Pitcher's Mound under their feet. The Pitcher's Mound is a very small area on the ground and while The Pitcher remains on the mound, Spirit Ball has NO cooldown, and they gain some spirit and bullet resist. The Pitcher's Mound doesn't have a duration, but if The Pitcher moves or is moved off the mound it will immediately disappear.
Ability 4: All-Star Pitch
The Pitcher winds up a powerful pitch with all their strength and after a short delay The Pitcher unleashes the pitch, sending a large projectile that deals heavy damage to any enemy that it collides with. This ability has global range and can travel through walls.
Gun:
The Pitcher wields a pepper gun with high fire rate, but low magazine size. The reload is relatively quick and loads all shots at once.
Lore:
Idk lol. This concept was mostly me trying to think of a cool, weird character that I would want to play in the game, but I have a few basic concepts:
- An Ixian with great talent for the sport but is denied recognition due to prejudice against Ixians. They're here to complete the ritual and gain the fame they deserve
- A disgraced champion who was caught using their affinity for magic to cheat during the championship. They want to complete the ritual to wipe away the memory of their cheating and return to the league
- An amateur baseball player who finds a baseball inhabited by a legend of the sport, the player makes a deal with the ball to gain the legend's ability in exchange for the amateur to complete the ritual and resurrect the legend.
