General design of Skyrunner​

For this rework and redesign I was exploring the idea of a weather forecaster who predicts the passage of time based on the movement of the clouds, while taking the concept of Skyrunner kit, which is a movement character based on grapples and DIY platforms. A newspaper boy that carries his newspapers around and works for the press. They are in the ritual because they predict a catastrophic weather event is about to happen that could cause thousands dead, and they want to stop it; probably a hurricane heading towards Florida again.
Their ultimate is not casted by them, but rather coincidentally formed at that place at that exact timing by nature itself.
Little Timmy also uses a water gun, and reloads it with his water bottle.

Skyrunner does not have the best kit, and it doesn't really work if put into consideration of how their kit would feel like during gameplay. The bullet ricochet would be hell to aim if the enemy team does anything but to stay still

Abilities​

1 → Precipitation​

Cast a cloud forward. Recast to stop it in place. The cloud will rain down on enemies underneath, slowing them and increasing their gravity heavily.
Recast again to strike lighting down from it, dealing spirit damage and stunning for 0.5s
The precipitation cloud can be used as a platform, and keeps up with movement when players slide over them, allowing them to slide on higher elevations.
Precipitation clouds can merge to make a connected platform
T1: +damage
T2: -cooldown and slow strength
T3: +1s stun


2 → Wind current
Launch forward a small wind orb, creating a connection with the surface that grants you extra air mobility like a grapple.
Recast to get launched in a direction after it's latched.

T1: +1 charges and less cooldown
T2: Recast grants a shield
T3: +range and emit an aura that increases allies movement speed


3 → Maelstrom (Free unlock at game start)
Passive: Get
+2% spirit damage per 5m of altitude difference from your targets.
Active: reset the cooldown of the last basic ability you used.
T1: more spirit damage per altitude
T2: also add bullet damage per altitude
T3: -cooldown


4 → Cold front
Darkens the sky, creating a growing cloud over the skybox that grows outwards and applies a crushing weight in a ring, 4 times, Dealing spirit damage and stunning, with bonus damage scaling with the target's distance to the ground when slammed.
Each new ring takes 1s to crush players, and since it grows, it's easy to dodge as long as you have at least 1 stamina. It does not slam players that are on the ground.
T1: +1 additional ring
T2: Slammed enemies are silenced for 2s
T3: Damage and cloud also increases enemy gravity heavily
 
The idea of a weather forecaster character sounds interesting, but it seems strange to me to have a weather forecaster who wants to stop a hurricane
 
Like he predicted an impending natural disaster and participates in the ritual not only to save people, but also to protect his loved ones
 
The 4th ability should look very epic, if it's going to be implemented in such a global format at all
Yeah like probably changing lighting effects because of the shadow when players are underneath it. There is no ability in the game that has a ring AOE instead of basic radius. I think this character would be a massive counter to other heroes that require verticality. His kit would require good skill to be used properly
