Game consistently crashing and not allowing re-entry because of the corruption of file pak01.vpk

This seems to be a problem with Dota 2, too.

The game randomly crashes when I do any interaction with my skills it seems. Instantly pops up the crash error, and doesn't allow me to properly verify my files until around 7-30 minutes after the fact.
