This is pretty insane, i havent rage quit ONCE while playing, and there's alot of bullshit to make you actually want to do that. Never done it. Sometimes im even the last one fighting just going for a 4 man Lash ult before the game ends).

But getting banned because the game crashes, and then getting banned because you cant validate cos steam wont do that without a pc reset for some bizarre reason.

Atleast make it so for the next frigging 24 hours i can play bot matches, i cant even do that. Im banned for it aswell.

If you are a DEV and read this, please figure out this current map pack glitch. Or sort out my account so i can play.

or you know... logically.... MAKE IT SO IF THE PERSON RETURNS TO THE MATCH, WHICH I HAVE MANAGED TO DO 3 TIMES WHILE FLAILING WITH THE GAME NOT WORKING. MAYBE.... DONT PUNISH THEM FOR 24 HOURS, when they were clearly trying to return.

I just managed to make it back to that game, was still even on souls because of trophy collector. went and won the game. and now am banned. how does that make sense? the team didnt suffer, my score didnt suffer, and we won. and im banned.

i would even LOVE!!!!! to have taken a screen shot of the error to be able to post here, but because im having to desperately get back into the game or get banned for 8 hours. I dont have to time to waste to risk doing that.

anyway. sort it out devs. im being punished for nothing.

If you get a corrupt .vpk error, disable XMP/EXPO in your motherboard BIOS/UEFI. If that fails, update/reset the BIOS/UEFI to defaults, lower RAM frequency in 500-1000 MHz steps from stock, and if problems persist, test and/or replace the RAM. This issue often indicates unstable RAM and occurs in other Source 2 games.

not true, i played dota2, half life alyx with no issues, the issues are only in deadlock

If you need evidence, you can simply search for it:

You will even find results for threads with posts providing resolutions in these very forums:

not really a thing, i have thousands of hours in dota2, never had an issue - NEVER

read all of those articles

i tried:

Disabling XMP, default bios settings, updated bios, chipset, drivers, all devices drivers, disabling devices, reinstalled deadlock in various storage drives, playing only after pc rr, deleting files and verifying integrity of the game before launching the game, praying to lord Gaben - Nothing helped, i repeat nothing

and the error itself is super random, sometimes i get that error 5times in a row when trying just to launch deadlock, and sometimes i play for hours without any problem whatsoever

The only scenario that helps in some ways - if Deadlock launched without errors, enter to spectate some games for hour or so and if no errors, I go play, but most of the time i get errors during spectate

Then there is nothing left to try but replacing the RAM, as one such case discovered on their own:

Again, you can find discussions about this going years back for multiple games, and the common resolution is resolving a RAM instability.

At current RAM prices and Deadlock the only game having this problem from source2 engine, ill pass on buying RAM's to fix a bug that has to be fixed by developers - lol
