"Low Priority Matchmaking" Ban Without An Abandon?

Hello, I just experienced a strange issue while trying to queue for a match. I had just won a game, hit play again and hit play, then got a message saying "ERROR: You have been temporarily banned from playing in this mode until (date and time)". In the Select Play Mode screen, there is a large red text block over the Deadlock option stating:

"A member of my party (I'm not in a party) is in the 'Low Matchmaking Queue' as a result of abandoning matches. You must win 1 game in the Low Priority queue or remove the penalized member to return to normal matchmaking."

The only problem is... I havent abandoned any matches? The game prior to the one I had just won, the whole game crashed and required a restart. As soon as it booted back up, though, I was given the option to Reconnect. I loaded back in and finished out the game to its conclusion, even though we did lose. I then immediately played the next game, which had no disconnection issues, only to be met with the "Low Priority" notice when I finished. I am also unable to join any sort of queue at all. Even though the error message states that I have to *win* a game in this "Low Priority" queue, it will not let me join.

My worry is that the game got confused and flagged my short disconnect as an abandon. Even though, again, I was able to reconnect normally and complete the game. Is there any way to fix this? Will I have to make a new account, or will it go away in a few hours? Any assistance or insight is appreciated!

This is my first ever post here, so I apologize in advance if I did anything incorrectly or did not submit required information. If there is any info needed that could help, please let me know and I will provide it as soon as possible!

There's about a 0% chance a human will respond to you. Valve does not moderate their games.

Just take the L and get out of low priority.
Hello,

Thank you for your reply! Unfortunately, I think I must not have described the issue properly. It isn’t just a matter of waiting out a time limit or fulfilling a requirement.

The error message that shows up DOES indeed say that I need to not just play, but actually win one of these “Low Priority” games (which honestly I still don’t know what that means?) in order to play again.

However, it does not allow me to actually queue for anything. At all. Whatsoever. I can’t do the normal Deadlock mode. I can’t do the Street Brawl mode. I can’t even go into a Bot Match.

To make matters worse, my friend who has been showing me the ropes and was playing with me in that match as Drifter was also disconnected when the game started experiencing issues. And now he also has the same unfulfillable ban, given out automatically for Abandons that never actually happened.

We want to know if there is some separate queue we are supposed to be selecting that doesn’t show up on the main Play menu? Is there a different area of the Hideout where we have to go to initiate a “Low Priority” queue? And if not, then why are we not being allowed to queue through the system so it can place us in this weird queue and we can fix our games?

That’s why I had asked if I would have to make a new account, because at the moment, for the both of us, the game is completely unplayable.

Believe me, we are more than happy to slog through whatever low elo hell this Low Priority thing ends up being. We just can’t actually get the game to LET US do it?

So, again, if someone has experienced a similar error before, I would greatly appreciate any help or information you can offer. I’m sure that there’s just something really simple I’m missing? Like maybe a hidden time limit, as in we have to wait 24 hours before even being allowed to do the queue. It’s different from actual time limit based abandon bans I’ve seen in the past, so we just don’t know what to do?

If it helps, I can include the replay ID if that will give any helpful information. Also, having actually been able to reach out to Steam/Valve in the past for gameplay issues, it’s hard for me to imagine that they would have zero oversight as to major bugs arising in an invite only beta.

It's all from reports you get, not only leaving.

I never leave my matches, the other day I had to AFK a whole 2 minutes because someone rang the doorbell and I had answer. I paused, warned my team I would take 2 min max, came back to them all crying in global chat to report me for AFK.
I hard carried them, ended with like 78k souls while the 2nd one had 53k souls. We won very easily.
I got sent to low prio for 1 match because of them crying for reports.
I tried to win a low prio match but gave up after 5 losses against blatant cheaters or having trolls in my team.

Giving the power to users to ban anyone you want is what killed Counter-Strike, I'm glad they are doing the same in Deadlock.
