getting banned for crashing

I have been playing deadlock for about a month now, and have been enjoying it a lot, its a really fun game! i have been having issues with file stability, where the game closes and gives an error message saying that there are files that are missing / corrupted. this issue happens almost every time i boot the game, and i have to validate my files every time. if the crash happens in the lobby, all i have to do is validate, but if it happens when i am in game, it wont let me validate the files, and it will just soft lock,( then i have to exit steam and reset it for some reason, and even then it still wont work sometimes.). any time that i have crashed in game it has taken so long to validate the files and reboot the game, that the game has either ended ( if i was playing street brawl), or am way behind in souls in the main game mode. i just played a match where i crashed, validated. and updated the game, got back in and finished the match, and STILL GOT BANED. this has happened 2-3 times before, but the bans where only like 5 minutes long. i am now banned until 3 am, and mildly pissed off. I'm going to try to install the game on a different drive, but i still find this to be an issue. it would be nice if there was a detection between someone crashing, and someone intentionally leaving a game.

also, the crashes in the hideout have happened almost exclusively in the hero select screen. in game its seemingly random, but it has happened accouple times when killing someone, or dying.

I’m experiencing the same issue. The game frequently crashes with an error, usually the game swaps to windowed mode with a black screen that hides the error message window. I then have to validate the files every time I launch it - nothing happens 0%, I validate local files via Steam - 0%, I restart Steam - it starts downloading something and I can start the game again, which takes too long to rejoin the match in time.

Because of this, I have already been removed from two matches and still received penalties. This should not happen, as the issue is clearly not caused by intentional leaving.

My system should not be the cause either, as I am running a Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 4080 Super, and 80GB RAM. I also have over 700 hours in the game and have never experienced anything like this before. The problem only started occurring in the last few days.
