70386960, not a balanced matchup. My teammates are all brand new / empty accounts, nobody bought counter-items. It's like they aren't made for this rank at all

While matchmaking is far from perfect, I think you should really focus on your gameplay. I watched the first 10 mins of the first game and you have a lot of basics you can work on to carry games and make the games lean in your favor. KDA is not the end all be all of this game, you win by pushing lanes and taking objectives better than the other team.View attachment 95329View attachment 95330

tbf to him, his holiday, haze and ivy really didn't help. I mean they do less than literally 30k with heavy gun/spirit items. literally enemy paige did the most damage and is smurfing. Only the seven was the bad one. This is just imbalanced matchmaking but yoshi ain't doing shit. While matchmaking is far from perfect, I think you should really focus on your gameplay. In just the first 3 minutes of the game, you could have had better buying, lane pressure, and taken space more aggressively. For example, after the first wave, you should have enough souls to buy your first item and in most cases you should go buy ASAP to become more powerful. You did not buy a single item in that game until over 4 minutes in. That can be fine if you are hard winning the lane and bullying them but when it is not an easy win, go use your souls to get an advantage. You were the only person in the lobby without an item for awhile.
Another note, you are hesitant to fire your gun randomly, you move back to your guardian without cause and then move forward again, giving up your space advantage without them having to take it from you. You are slow to secure souls or to try and deny them. You also miss your powerslash 9/10 times because you try to split the difference between two targets or they are too far away. Then you go back to base when you are 1/2 hp instead of trying to kill the heal minion and save your tower. You just give up your lane for free.
In general, your early game can help snowball the rest of the match, but it does not mean you will win either. I would suggest starting with getting better at the basics of movement, aim, ability usage, item buying (including learning to queue and quick buy items and not waiting until you can buy 2-3 items at a time), and getting lane prio. Yamato can be a bully, you just need to learn how to use her better and you will win more games.
Remember, you are the common denominator of your games and you can make more of an impact with better macro/micro and mechanics. This is not even me trying to say you are bad or anything, but you hold more power than you might think, it just takes practice and work. Watch content on how to improve from people like Deathy, Eskay, PoshyPop, or Eido... then focus on one or two things at a time. Maybe focus one day on hitting your abilities more intentionally/accurately and taking camps/boxes after you clear the wave or have prio. Those are very important in the early game, not just mid.
Blaming your team will not help you get out of seeker lobbies and the matchmaking is bound to be in your favor some of the time too, so you need to look inward a bit more as that is the only thing you have control over. The lower level lobbies are the best place to learn those important skills as you are less likely to be punished for not doing them correctly. Focus on learning right now, not winning and I bet you will have better outcomes. And if you can afford a coaching session, it would help too.
Best of luck, you got this!
Not the game I was talking about, I loaded the first ID listed. And I am not saying there isn't a problem with matchmaking as this game is in alpha so it will probably change wildly up until release. But only blaming yoshi is not helping anyone get better at the game. Giving actual feedback is useful, not just "yoshi screwed me again". People are able to climb the ranks regardless of how matchmaking is... So if you are stuck in an elo, it probably means you need to work on things. Yes, some games will be unwinnable, but others will be unlosable. You need to be able to carry the ones in the gray area that are dependent on your input. At least that is my opinion, you are welcome to disagree, but I would rather focus on how to improve then throw up my hands to the devs and complain all day.
