Bad Matchmaking Thread

But your entire team somehow manages to extend the match until the 40th minute while not having a single chance at winning all along.
I swear half the matches I get are just pure wastes of time.
it extended until 35mins because i was killing some of them and they were feeding on my teammates just dragging the game. you can see my team's performance that they were the cost of the loss

yo @Yoshi why is the no.1 sinclair player who is eternus 5 doing here in an ascendant 4 average? do you know how easily he stomped my teammate's sidelane? the game was over in the first 10 minutes when they were 3/0 3/0. you always give dogshit matchmaking, fucking putting eternus 5/6 in a fucking ascendant 5 lobby. what the fuck is wrong with your matchmaking. fucking hero update and no matchmaking yet.

another game where another eternus 5 is in this lobby, destroying my sidelane. the only reason we got so far was because of doorman's cart but comeon bro how hard is it to get your matchmaking right. its not that difficult buddy just get your fucking dota matchmaking.

Drifter and Venator were feeding, they’re definitely not from this rank. They have no clue what to do or how items even work)))

So the 50% system is actually a thing. I won, but only because the other team kept feeding and quitting, just like my teammates did last time)))

Why should I play alone against 10 people? This is an abnormal matchmaking, the enemy team is playing the game, and I have difficult bots in AFK mode.
While I'm creating space, my teammates are AFK.

Nice team again, devs)
Probably playing the game yourselves since you can't fix the MM)))
Abrams and Mo are just another pair of beginners who don't know how to play))

Pocket, Victor seemed to struggle in this elo and lost their lane insanely hard. Felt like uneven matchmaking with a very steep curve upwards, almost impossible to win.

Game started somewhat fair. Rapid snowball eventually ensued.
3 players on Hidden King team using smurf/alt accounts:
Drifter (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199668636208)
Seven (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199574745846)
Shiv (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199658441486)
The Drifter and Shiv are Steam friends with one another and also with the Mirage who was using his main account to enable the smurf. Note Mirage also has a VAC ban on record (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198974088257)

70386960, not a balanced matchup. My teammates are all brand new / empty accounts, nobody bought counter-items. It's like they aren't made for this rank at all

1. The Infernus admitted to being queued up with an oracle player (Dynamo) as Eternus 6. This shouldn't be allowed, because clearly the Dynamo wasn't able to perform in this lobby and it was clearly a rank difference with the macro being so off.
2. Blatty. This player has on multiple occasions been in my games an absolute NUISANCE. I know I've reported them, many of my friends have reported them, hell, even in our lobbies people flame them becasue they're so notorious. They genuinely threw the game here by going afk and refusing to do anything the past 10 ish minutes. That shouldn't be allowed and this should be punished to the harshest extent, especially knowing how bad of a reputation they have.

While matchmaking is far from perfect, I think you should really focus on your gameplay. I watched the first 10 mins of the first game and you have a lot of basics you can work on to carry games and make the games lean in your favor. KDA is not the end all be all of this game, you win by pushing lanes and taking objectives better than the other team.

In just the first 3 minutes of the game, you could have had better buying, lane pressure, and taken space more aggressively. For example, after the first wave, you should have enough souls to buy your first item and in most cases you should go buy ASAP to become more powerful. You did not buy a single item in that game until over 4 minutes in. That can be fine if you are hard winning the lane and bullying them but when it is not an easy win, go use your souls to get an advantage. You were the only person in the lobby without an item for awhile.

Another note, you are hesitant to fire your gun randomly, you move back to your guardian without cause and then move forward again, giving up your space advantage without them having to take it from you. You are slow to secure souls or to try and deny them. You also miss your powerslash 9/10 times because you try to split the difference between two targets or they are too far away. Then you go back to base when you are 1/2 hp instead of trying to kill the heal minion and save your tower. You just give up your lane for free.

In general, your early game can help snowball the rest of the match, but it does not mean you will win either. I would suggest starting with getting better at the basics of movement, aim, ability usage, item buying (including learning to queue and quick buy items and not waiting until you can buy 2-3 items at a time), and getting lane prio. Yamato can be a bully, you just need to learn how to use her better and you will win more games.

Remember, you are the common denominator of your games and you can make more of an impact with better macro/micro and mechanics. This is not even me trying to say you are bad or anything, but you hold more power than you might think, it just takes practice and work. Watch content on how to improve from people like Deathy, Eskay, PoshyPop, or Eido... then focus on one or two things at a time. Maybe focus one day on hitting your abilities more intentionally/accurately and taking camps/boxes after you clear the wave or have prio. Those are very important in the early game, not just mid.

Blaming your team will not help you get out of seeker lobbies and the matchmaking is bound to be in your favor some of the time too, so you need to look inward a bit more as that is the only thing you have control over. The lower level lobbies are the best place to learn those important skills as you are less likely to be punished for not doing them correctly. Focus on learning right now, not winning and I bet you will have better outcomes. And if you can afford a coaching session, it would help too.

Best of luck, you got this!
