Bad Matchmaking Thread

You cant tell me otherwise. (The KELVIN has 4 total games under his belt, VINDICTA 2 games, BILLY 2 games. I have 2000...) Three brand new players and their Geist is an Oracle 5.

What am i supposed to do here? This team had absolutely no idea what they were doing and this is a consistent pattern that i consistently see.

Dont try to tell me they dont purposely have games set up like this and ELO Hell isnt real because this happends more then 50 % of the time.

Honestly valve you are going to lose alot of players if this isnt fixed in the upcomign patches. I know im not gonna put up with this stuff much longer. And its funny i say some stuff in game cuz your MM triggers me so damn much and i catch a ban for 6 hours. lmao.

Youre going to lose your loyal player base if this isnt fixed soon, no one wants to waste their life on this bullsh*t consistantly.

Lash seems to be being boosted by either friends or bought boost as he is queued with 3 new account, which all have under 20 games with 100% win rate, in game they felt very weird and while watching replay its easily seen that vindicta, visc and infernus are blatantly cheating, aim and wall.

very fun, balanced and enjoyable matchmaking going up against three cheaters on new account. Vindicta having a very fresh game ban as well. I have to give this game a 9/10 based on the fairness of this lobby. Good job, keep this up please, been a while since ive had this much fun.

The ranks of these players was absolutely all over the place. For an Arcanist lobby, there was an archon, an oracle, and an ASCENDANT abrams who went 30/3/7. What gives? That's not matchmaking, it's sealclubbing.

Smurfs, hackers, boosting. These are all standard Valve requirements for any of their games.

Valve does not care. You either accept that most matches will have at least one cheater or smurf, or decide your time is worth more than a shitty experience.

My rank is Alchemist 1. After my match, I checked Statlocker to see the ranks of the other players. (Yes, Statlocker doesn't show the actual ranks, but I had no other choice to analyze the match.)

3 of the opposing players were Seeker (quite normal), 2 was Arcanist, and only 1 was Initiate 4. (I don't think that's normal, but it's tolerable.)

In our team, the situation was this: 3 Seekers (quite normal) and 2 Initiate 1s. This already creates a huge imbalance, but things get even funnier when you look at the account of one of the Initiate 1 players.

This user abandoned 2 of their last 7 matches! Why does Valve, which puts me in the low-priority queue when I abandon a match, not only doesn't put this guy in the low-priority queue, but they even put him in my match? I think this match was a real disaster in terms of matchmaking.

The problem in this match is that my team has people who completely new to the game and literally only played 3 games. I have 300 hours of playtime, mind you. Why am I being played against someone who has only played 3 games and has a KDA of 0/18/5, ruining my game?

Use this thread to share matchids for games that you think the matchmaker did a bad job at. If you can explain what you felt was a problem in it that would be helpful as well.

Do not post matchids for games that were within the past 24 hours from this post. Games older than that are fine and games going forward are fine.

This morning, I played four matches with the same 2-3 people. I got crushed and lost. I have no connection to them. So, the matchmaking system keeps giving me the same opposing team. Then I played 2-3 matches with my friend. He was a high-ranked player, and I played in his Archon tier. Then I continued playing on my own. Look, the ritual match that ended my 7-game losing streak was the match in the lowest-ranked tier. For heaven's sake, why was I matched with a match in the lowest-ranked tier?

The game had a first time Doorman who didn't know what to do and therefore failed every trade against Mina. But it also had a Shiv / Lash laning against Haze / Drifter that apparently couldn't do anything.
I asked them if it was their first time as well they just said "No they are just better than us".

No matter how better Haze was, they still fed her with 8 kills by 10/15 mins so they clearly didn't choose to farm boxes or jungle to compensate and chose to keep fighting, it's obvious since Lash would rush into a fights with no awareness of his nearby teammates or the difference in items.

I've never had a game that felt so inted.

Another game same day where we fought a team that was apparently outranking us by just a few division, vu it felt like we where stomping Seeker at some point.
Didn't really feel fair for the Sapphire team at all.
