Bad Matchmaking Thread

24265911: 25 minutes game, 70k souls difference, matchmaking gets worse by day its unbelieveble, now Im getting thrown in lobbies with 5 teammates that where 2 have 2300 elo and 2 have 1700 elo and they play all the same which is not good at all. I was the only one doing something in this match...

I should not have been placed up against this shiv on my third or fourth match with a character I haven't ever played before, and my entire team shouldn't have been placed up against their team. Shiv had double anyone else's money for most of the game and we couldn't do anything to him in lane as his skill far outstripped our own. Every one of our lanes lost very hard.

Unsure why there was a 3 stack silver players on the enemy team
sure we had a gold and bronze player, but was it a stack v stack or what happened?
 
24269644 another horible match, right after the last one just like all the matches ive had non ranked today (5+). My team clearly worse than theirs, no comms no nothing, haze just needed to press 4 just like dynamo to win team fights, please fix this MM and this stupid heores that take no skill and are broken

I feel bad when I drag my team down but it feels even worse when they're worse than me and clearly don't belong in the game. If I'm struggling and having a bad time then I can't imagine how bad it must feel for them :(

look at mine above, I am consistently 2/12 Ws and in the top 1-2 of my team every game

Imagine my disappointment when MMR is still broken. Haze obviously shouldn't have been in this match, and honestly I don't understand why it was made in the first place. What's the point of ranks if they're ignored sometimes?

My team didn't even get close to the other base and they still had two walkers up by the end. None of my team went for the urn, even though I told them I could fly them. It's almost as if new players are STILL being matched against more experienced players that are expected to carry their team. It's miserable.

Not to be rude, but initiate is the lowest possible ranking, so it's kind of expected at that ranking. That doesn't look like a stomp at all, just looks like a normal loss. Haze just snowballs real hard from farming camps, doesn't look like she shouldn't have been there.

MMing is pretty bad, but this seems kinda normal 🤷‍♂️

This looks like a Haze hypercarry to me. Everyone else is pretty matched in souls. The way to combat this from happening is to watch the mini map and notice if the little blue "camp" triangles disappear when no one is there. That's a big sign that Haze is stealing farm and yall need to take her out and force her to drop some of the souls before she gets to a shop to spend them.

Situation: My first game today after receiving my rank. I joined at 4pm PST when ranked was available.

Expected result: Similar games to what I was playing during the evaluation period.

Actual result: The biggest deficit I've seen in all 215 games played. Game was over in 24mins and a 77K deficit.

Additional Context: This was such an outlier in all of the games I felt compelled to join the forums for just this one game. My teammates didn't understand what was happening either. We all knew weren't playing great, but it oddly didn't feel like we should have been so far behind. We lost all map control very early, but the snowball in net worth was something I would expect a pro team to do to casual players. I felt my lane was evenly matched though. 1on1 lane stats show a perfect lane matchup, even though they had no rank. I can't say the same for the other lanes. Ultimately, I figured something must be very wrong with ranks and how they were distributed, or the system has a huge issue when ranked becomes available at 4pm as if it becomes desperate to make a match. Both need to be looked into.

Felt like a wide skill gap between teams in both, unranked. Would be willing to wait longer for better matches since the queue popped nearly instantly.
 
match 24290390 - both teams have a 10k soul diff form their best to second best player, and almost 20k diff between best and everyone else. had at least 4 games like this today, 24281033, 24274689, and 24287058 all had similarly wild diffs between the best and worst players. it makes pubs almost unplayable when i have minimum 2 teammates who are on a fully different skill tier than me

People without a rank should not be in games with others in a rank. This discourages and undermines what others in the rank are. Once do not do the favored/expected to win thing from OW thats dumb and undermines the player base. These players should not be in my rank due to skill and game sense. Once again no one without a rank should be in a team with actual ranked players. As well fix the mmr as many people are way too high for their skill and its horrendous match making for ranked.

Insane stomps. 60k differential in 20 minutes, 2 of which were them sitting in our spawn killing us. Haze died 5 times before minute 5. We had no chance to even come close to recovering. Back to back games with similar results. This is getting ridiculous.

Match 24301533 - Played with two friends who hadn't played in weeks., and are not as good as me. Enemies appeared to be a bit hard for my level, but our team just got crushed. Enemies could have finished at 23 minutes, but instead just messed around till 32
