Ventriloquist Hero: Who's The Real Dummy?

Basic character premise and design: Hero based on aspects of real life performer Edgar Bergen and his dummy Charlie McCarthy while also taking influence from the Batman villain the Ventriloquist. Timid but well spoken for performer with a dummy partner that contrasts greatly with his personality. The puppet is clearly imbued with supernatural elements and can have heavy occult theming with an unconventional design. The puppet itself could be the weapon or it can be holding a weapon, whichever seems more organic for gameplay purposes.

Possible character backstory: A down on their luck performer who travelled to NYC after multiple failed comedy routines across the country. Thinking he shouldnt have a partner at all he stumbles upon a dummy that stands out to him in the store window of a shady looking shop. The store owner sees the performer's interest and rushes to get rid of the puppet, going as far as to sell it to the performer for almost nothing. When the performer books a hotel to start writing his next routine, a cocky shrill voice starts speaking to him, mocking him for what hes writing down. The performer realizes nobody else is in the room with him but the dummy and decides to pick it up to investigate. The dummy berates him to give him a hand and he does, puppeteering it and breathing life back into it with a connection directly to the owner as if its a symbiotic relationship. Their minds are on the same wavelength and the performer can see how many previous owners worked with the dummy to accomplish their own selfish goals. The dummy peers into the performer's dreams of a successful act and uses that to fashion a deal to work together, only if the performer helps the dummy settle a personal matter with the patrons.

Possible abilities: A silencing move that does the usual ability locking with the unique gimmick of the enemy not being able to use pings, any method of chat including text chat and even hides the performer's position on the map. Could also do damage over time?

Another ability could be copying an enemy hero's powers whether it be one of their basic abilties or even their ult while still allowing you to level the ability that was copied. Balancing for this could be tricky depending on the item build. Could be temporary and discardable so you can copy another hero ability.

Potential for a projectile move similar to pocket's but youre throwing the dummy itself. The twist is being able to throw the dummy at any creep, guardian or even a teammate to imbue them with sustaining buffs, possibly still even letting you use active items or abilities while the dummy is attached to a friendly unit. Similar to a character like Abathur from Heroes of the Storm but the performer is still very much active while this occurs. Obviously the performer is much weaker alone without his partner so this adds a risk/reward aspect and high skill ceiling for multi tasking.
