game running in vulkan
Noticed my gpu making weird noises. Enabled the fps counter, and it's showing 3000 fps and increasing. Bringing up the console locks it to 120 fps. fps_max does not affect anything
Hi, ive been playing without any problem for a little while now. But i noticed that todays patch broke something in my game.
Problem:
Whenever im at the main menu, fps(displayed by steam) spikes at 2000fps and gpu fans go wild.
It didnt happen before and its only on the main menu ( i didnt go to sandbox or started a match, fans scared me out). When i select the settings button, fps go back to 60 fps and gpu fans calms down but when i quit them fps spiked again.
What i tried:
1- Change every single option in settings, including vsync.
2- Cap the fps of the gpu at 60 from AMD Adrenalin...
Good find, my GPU (R 7800 XT) has never had coil-whine before but the menu sitting over 2000fps was throwing out some whine. Glad I found your solution. Disactivating Antilag 2.0 fixed it for me also.
