Ult upgrading hero

I'm not much of a moba person, but there have been some people I've seen calling for the addition of a certain item that totally changes heroes ultimate. It honestly sounds like a lot of work, and I wouldn't wish that on you, devs.

If heroes have been turned into items, why not turn an item into a hero? Here's a similar "ult-altering" idea that I think is a bit more fun:
Ultimate: Ultimate alchemy
when you activate this ability, your ability keys are replaced with selections for spirit power, range, and duration. By targeting an ally and selecting one of the above, their respective stat will be temporarily doubled on their next activation of their ult.

I think it'd be cool on an alchemy based support hero, but cooler if you leaned into the alchemy portion of it by allowing you to mix and match the portions of stats. Say when you activate the ultimate by selecting a target ally, you have a certain duration like 10-15 seconds to allocate buffs to create an ultimate brew. So like you said, your 1st becomes spirit power, your 2nd becomes range, and your third becomes duration, you then get a certain amount of points into any of these buffs, and each point is worth 10%, so say you invest 9 points into spirit power and 1 into range, thus spending a total of 10, (say that's your given maximum) then their next ultimate has 90% increased spirit power and 10% increased range, and you could then combine these in any way with your available points to buff the ultimate. Upgrades could add extra effects to each investment type, or give you more available points, I think that'd give it both a low enough skill floor to be understandable for new players, and a high enough skill ceiling to make it absolutely game changing despite not being flashy or anything, plus it'd reward knowing how the other ultimates work and what stats they benefit from most same as Sinclair, but I'd say even more so because it doesn't lock you to only functioning based on ultimates that work with the kit of your character.
