Instead of Trophy Collector gaining power through stacks its bonuses could be unlocked when a specific enemy hero is killed. The stats would be unlocked in the order they're listed, with soul generation being the last, but it would achieve certain power spikes more consistently and actually live up to its name.
If you wanted to do power creeping with it I could suggest that the first two stats, health and speed, have two players be available for the bounty so you aren't locked to chasing down one person. Then the third stat, range, would only have one bounty target. Then the last stat, souls, could have a single bounty on the top enemy player. It would ideally be difficult to achieve but the reward be instant and feel like an accomplishment.
Let's take it a step further and say that the bounty targets are set by which enemy player matches with the stat to be unlocked. Players with the most health are set as the health stat bounties. The fastest players for speed. The most items for range. And the highest net worth for souls.
I think it could be a lot of fun! Fun enough to be worth considering for sure!
