Not sure if it will be possible, but this item requires both Improved Bullet/Spirit armors as components (so if you have both it will cost 6000 souls) which further improve the stats from those armors while also freeing a slot in your build

I like the idea of having an item with more than 1 component, but I think we're running into a situation here where slot efficiency is too high. This would open up Vitality item space for things like Siphon bullets AND inhibitor on builds that already have Both armors and other vitality items to boot, and I'm not sold on that being a good thing.

I would be OK with a T4 item that provides less Resist for both than this item, but doesn't have either as a component. If someone has THAT much money to blow on resists, let them.

that has the same issue. Its t4 so more expensive single item but still more slot efficient freeing space for the other items. Im fine with that myself and this type of armor is pretty normal in mobas in general but it would have to have less armor than the improved armors and maybe a passive to compensate.

For example, Smite has an item with both armors and a relatively low amount but a passive that or ignores one hard CC not unsimilar to the Dota 2 item that ignores one single target ability (lotas orb?).

This would be super good on specific characters that dont really want to buy the armors and get other vit items but not great on others because the resistance are too low to be efficient.

I do agree that an item similar to the Lotus Orb (In HoN it was called the Nullstone, and negated 1 targeted effect on you on CD) would be very useful in Deadlock and it almost feels like it's a missing spot. I wouldn't be opposed to that item being T4 Vitality and have a modest amount of Spirit and Bullet resist. (Something like 40% to both would be good). It would certainly bring down the value of certain heroes, like Mo and Krill, who rely heavily on a targeted ability. (They would probably need to pick up a cheap targeted item to blow the effect early like Slowing Hex, Decay, or Withering Whip) if people start picking it up (and that is good itemization)

If that were the case, I wouldn't even be opposed to the item having 2 components of base Bullet and Spirit Armor, which would put it's price around 8500 which is pricey, but not bad at all. It would mean you would have to give up the better Bullet and Spirit Armor of the Improved armors, but you get slot efficiency and the Targeted negating effect, which would be a good item imo.

I didnt play much of HON when it was.

Also, 40% doesnt seem modest to me lol. I was thinking 20ish. The items in the other games have very low amounts (15 versus 40+ for tank items).

But from my experience from other Mobas, people still wont buy it because tis not damage lol. Then be mad about how broken characters are like without bothering to buy these counter items.

Could be base items are the 2 t2 armors and upgrades to a t3 for a total of 5500, combines the two together and adds the passive but doesnt increase the armor amount. (maybe add a "recipe" cost to boost its cost to 6k even tho wont be a t4).

50% is what the upgraded armors give. The base armors give 26%, so 40% is around halfway between those 2. You'd be giving up the option to have either upgraded armors as you can't pick up the components of an item that you already have the upgrade of, so you'd have to find other sources of Resist if you want more (and trust me, 40% might seem like a lot but once you add in all of the sources of resist shredding it ends up not being as much as it sounds).

Yup. Exactly.

Thats the trade off. And why 40% is too efficient. You dont really want your tanks getting it. Its more of a bruiser item designed to help you dive, not frontline and just tank everything.

So this itme would be really effecent on a lash, cali, maybe a shiv. Not so much on mo or abrams. Different types of kits. (not sure where i put yama)

But would you really want lash, cali, or shiv be able to get this and the improved items? No, no you wouldnt. That would be a nightmare as they are already hard to kill.
