When you obtain souls from any trooper, neutral, unsecured soul, or enemy hero gain the following:
70% chance to increase the soul value by 30%
30% chance to get 0 value.

T3: Gambler's Spirit -
Item Stats:
+10 Spirit Power
Passive:
When you obtain souls from any trooper, neutral, unsecured soul, or enemy hero gain the following:
70% chance to increase the soul value by 30%
30% chance to get 0 value.
Active: (180 second cooldown)
Gamble your current soul balance:
50% chance to DOUBLE your souls
50% chance to LOSE 150% of your souls & go into DEBT.
 
These items seems to be funny, at least their mechanics are interesting.

Perhaps, they won't be relevant in competitive/ranked as they are random-based. But in all other cases they could be used extensively.

I think that the game should game some funny items like that. I like that.

Yah, for balance reasons adding a cap scaling with spirit power or something would prob be the best solution.

But it would be funny to hit that "jackpot" or completely just go into debt

Probably it really should have some limits, but in my opinion, it is already balanced.
