escapes that mostly come from abilities, and that increases roam potential over time. We already have items that sacrifice health
for stats, so why not a cheap early game escape item that sacrifices your abilities instead.
Tier 1 gun item idea: you get a strong movement speed boost, but you are silenced while it’s active, meaning you can’t use any abilities at all. It’s not meant to be a long term item, it’s just an early roaming and disengage tool.
This would raise the movement floor early without changing the movement skill ceiling, since high level movement doesn’t rely on speed boosts anyway. The tradeoff is reaction time, because if you get caught while running you can’t instantly respond with abilities, so it speeds up early roaming encounters but still has a clear risk.
