Don't know exactly if this is street brawl exclusive but it's where i see it most often/am able to recreate, so i'm marking it as such in the title.
At the first round of a street brawl match, after items are picked, you can upgrade all your abilities to their T1 upgrades and then refund them quickly. This will give you your spent points back but not actually undo the upgrade, meaning you keep all the bonuses while having your points back (though to upgrade them again/beyond t1 you will still have to spend that 1st point).
This essentially gives the player 8 ability points instead of 6, since you can upgrade 2 abilities to T1, refund them, and then spend those points again on 2 other abilities to their T2 upgrades.
