I recently swapped to Linux from windows (I had no issues on Windows for context), and I've suddenly started to experience severe frame drops in the game. I've had a friend who knows a lot more about this kind of stuff help me try a bunch of different fixes, none of which seemed to have had an affect on the issue, and we eventually determined that the issue is from the console spamming these [SteamNetSocket] messages, pumping them out at seemingly multiple instances per second.
For some additional context, my brother followed the same set up as me swapping to Linux and does not encounter this issue in his console. Anyways, me and my friend found out that my frame rate returns to normal if I open the game offline, because this causes the console messages for SteamNetSockets to not appear. As an attempt to fix the issue, I bought a vastly better ethernet cable than the one I was using, and this did fix the issue the previous night while I played with friends, but this afternoon when I booted the game again, it returned sadly.
I'll attach an image of what the issue looks like, and apparently it's a similar issue to a problem that CS had a couple years ago, but I don't know how that particular problem was fixed. If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd be super grateful to have my frames back.
