Basically this bug allows you to transfer souls from your bank to your teams.

here I have 2700 with 2000 unsecure, with a healing rite already bought.

I upgrade the HR to a Nova and retain the unsecure 2000 souls. BUT only have 316 actual. At this point the bug is complete but if you wanna be a real team player you'll wanna "gift" your team more right?

SO you can farm any souls up to the amount in your unsecure. (any real souls above the unsec will be retained)

And have an accident in your base or behind tower ect. Here I dropped the 1700 bag and retained the remainder of the souls that ARE Secure.

This bug confirmed works with Healing Rite > Healing Nova and Guardian ward > Divine Barrier upgrade path's. This allows you to farm up unsecure souls from the sinner's / Rem tunnels, Purchase an item once you have the amount and retain a bugged unsecure amount. Farm SECURE souls which CAN be shared by a lane partner ect and pass on YOUR souls to a teammate that never should have gotten it. Effectively 2x their income.

I was confused when reading this so maybe I am missing something. But I don't see any duplicating.

There's maybe a misunderstanding here?

The "unsecured souls" you have are not added on top of your other souls. Unsecured just refers to the amount you drop when dead.

You had 3k, out of which 1.7k were unsecured, you died and dropped 1.7k, leaving you with 1.3k. Total is still 3k.

Is there something else you mean that maybe I'm not getting?

The unsecured souls amount should update after the item you purchase can no longer be resold at full price (usually triggered when you exit a shop zone). @Thiccweld, did you have any cheats or convars enabled when you tested this behavior?

I tested this with sv_cheats 0 and no convars enabled, and it does work exactly as described by the author. However, the bug doesn’t really make sense and doesn’t provide any real benefit. It breaks the unsecured souls logic visually/partially, but you can’t actually exploit it to gain extra souls or duplicate anything. Also, if you don’t farm enough souls to exceed the unsecured amount, nothing will drop from you on death.
