Sinclair Vexing Bolt Phases Through NPC's Now

That's not how mods work. You don't get the ability to shoot through walls just because you change the texture file on an object.
In fact, you do.

Many mods modify the abilities.vdata file. Hero mods often do this to change stuff like sounds for abiltiies.

The file that contained the fix is abiltiies.vdata.

As you see in my video I posted, on the live client with no mods, the bolt doesn't go trough the guardian.

If anything, at the very least disable all mods, make sure the client is up to date, test it, and see if anything changes.

Please see this thread here for the way the interaction currently works with guardians/walkers. The way you tested it does not show the bug.

As mentioned a few messages ago in this thread, bolts will phase through when you disengage from the guardian/walker for a brief period of time, and with walkers in particular they will also phase through when you are in range for it to damage you, but out of range for you to damage it.
 
Hello Yoshi, I see that were some changes made just now, but there are big big issues.

Observed changes:

- Bolts do not target NPC's on redirect anymore
- Redirect indicator on heroes was added back but does not show through walls this time (good)

As mentioned, there are many issues though.

First off, please see the updated bug report I made here. Bolts are still phasing through guardians/walkers as they were before this client update. The same principles still apply on that end.

It's nice that bolts are not targeting objectives/camps through walls anymore and I see that they also don't target troopers as well (so basically all NPC's). This is mostly fine, however, it is near impossible to hit the first stage Patron while it is flying in the air with the redirect. This isn't a huge issue, but it is a bit awkward if you are trying to hit the Patron with a max damage Vexing Bolt.

The BIGGEST issue, though, is that now you cannot redirect onto players when you do not have line of sight. This has been completely broken with this update and needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

It seems close to perfect now.

I like that it targets NPC's but only when you're aiming directly on them.

The next step for this hero would be to make it so that stolen Shiv ult executes Shiv properly (right now his bloodletting prevents the execute from happening) and making it so that you can steal Kelvin dome when Kelvin dome is currently up (right now you steal the button to take dome down which does nothing and refunds your ult).

Edit: It's close to perfect. The bolt target redirect icon shows when you don't have line of sight on people in this specific position. I guess the model sees it, but you don't.

You've reduced the timer for how long bolts go through objectives but not eliminated it completely, you can't see people around corners anymore, you can't see people through veils anymore, and you still don't get a targeting icon when leaning around a corner.

Should be fixed now
fixed 1 bugs out of 10. Just check out my last post about Sinclair. It has almost all of the issues that haven't been fixed since the release
