Maybe about a third of the times I cast my ult, it unlocks my mouse from the game, stopping me from moving my camera.

Oh is that why I randomly opened Affinity Photo while I was playing sinclair?

I think so. I was trying to cast Vindicta ult and instead of shooting after I scoped in, Baldurs gate started opening

Oh my god it was the same for me, I was trying to scope in against a vindicta to shoot a warden and I got the launcher thing for affinity in the middle of my screen.
