Stuns get less and less effective the more are applied.

Silences do not, despite being crowd control, or other debuffs that disable abilities. This is why silence is now the new meta for disabling others for 10+ seconds in a team fight. Curse's, Silencer and other items are now overused because stuns lack punch. Same with all forms of slow and hex which are stacked and lengthened by duration items but not affected. All characters with stuns are weaker and all characters with silences stronger. You can still get into a fight and be utterly disabled from start to finish without being a victim of a single stun. Gun and disarm works the same way. No diminishing return on those.
