DISCLAIMER: This is, in no way, a rehashing or copy of the other character concept named Crow. I thought of this when I woke up and had no inspiration from the previous user.
My idea for Crow is something of a true jungler, specializing in rotating, space management and VISION. With there being a lack of wards in Deadlock, why not have a surveyor in the cast? Your "eyes in the sky," if you will.
Inspirations: Calico, Apollo, Grey Talon & Kelvin, Mordekaiser (LoL), Gilgamesh (Smite), Talon (LoL), Crypto (Apex Legends), Mei Mei (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Similar to Deadsock's proposal, Crow is a member of the Baxter society. He has biological features of a bird, with short black feathers covering his arm and face, resembling arm sleeves and sideburns. He has long claws, similar to the talons of a Crow. With his knowledge of the occult, he has control over crows, sharing their vision and having a say in how they act. This arcane bond is what's caused him to take on these avian traits. He'd be clad in a dark ghillie suit, having sticks and feathers protruding across the hood and arms. Around his waist would be several rows of his quill-themes throwing knives. Perhaps have some of the chillies drape along his back like wings to fit the crow esthetic. Something something hates Shiv, one of the naysayers of him leading the Baxter Society after Grey Talon. His wish in the ritual is to become the leader himself, snubbing Shiv in the process.
Crow is primarily gun scaling with hints of spirit. He excels in close/mid range with short range M1, a knife spread that scales with gun, a Silencing lunge dealing spirit damage, and a lock-in ult similar to Kelvin's. Where he differs from other characters is the ability to control a Crow to scout out the map, allowing you and your team to gain intel to make more coordinated plays.
Weapon - Shredding Quills
Base Ammo - 8
Properties: fast moving projectiles that have a heavy fall off, losing most momentum at about 50m and most damage at 20m.
Melee: a quick cross, 2nd melee leads into a hook.
Heavy Melee: He strikes with his sharp Talon-like nails to pluck at their eyes.
Ability 1: Feather Spread
Cooldown: 20 seconds
Description: Throws a volley of 5 quick moving knives, similar to Lady Gheist. These knives do gun damage, allowing them to benefit from the typical items (Inhib, Silencer, etc) and have similar properties to his basic fire, falling off in damage and vellocity at about 50m. However, I think allowing them to benefit from Ricochet would be beneficial. These knives will stick in targets, applying a temporary 15% Bullet resist shred.
T1- 5 second cooldown reduction
T2- throws two extra knives. Increased resist shred by 5%
T3- allows charges. +2 charges
Ability 2: Tongue Cutter
Cooldown: 25 seconds
Description: Crow lunges forward, knife in hand. When he makes contacts, he'll move through and behind them, leaving them Silenced for a short period.
T1- 10 second cooldown reduction.
T2- 5m lunge distance increase.
T3- allows recast up to three times if the previous cast landed. Cooldown paused during recast period.
Ability 3: Crow Familiar
Cooldown: 30 seconds
Description: Crow will send out a crow
The familiar is remote controlled by the player, leaving Crow at the site of the cast in the same way as Grey Talon. This is similar to Calico's Ava in the sense that you are controlling a different character, but unlike Calico, the familiar itself is a separate entity with a health stat similar to other summons like McGinnis turret and Graves ghouls. The familiar is controlled like Guided Owl, flying towards the cursor. The familiar has better air control than Guided Owl, allowing it to curve around building very well. While the familiar is alive, enemies in the field of view of the crow are pinged on the map until the enemy is out of sight. While an enemy is in sight, the familiar will call out, giving an audible indicator to teammates and enemies alike. The familiar may also be perched by flying low to a flat surface, allowing it to stay stationary on high structures. Crow can freely toggle between the familiar and himself whilst it is alive, allowing him to leave the familiar as a sentry-type entity. Similar to Calico, Crow can not use the familiar after taking damage for 3 seconds, and being attacked while controlling the crow will automatically destroy it, leaving the ability on cooldown.
T1- increase fly speed by 2.5m
T2- allows Crow to teleport to familiar with a 5 second channel. Can be interrupted by damage, large visual indicator. Has 130 second cooldown separate from ability cooldown
T3- grants 25% Bullet & Spirit resistance, 10% fire rate after channeling teleport.
Ability 4: Murder
Cooldown: 210 seconds
Description: Crow conjures a murder of crows to create a suffocating ring, trapping enemies inside. Allies can move freely in and out of the ring, but enemies will have a hard time leaving. Unlike Kelvin's ult, this ultimate is in the shape of a cylinder, moving up and down. This ability isn't a physical object. Enemies can move into and out of the area. Enemies who enter will be Silenced and have their speed reduced by -40%, giving them ample time to rethink their decision before being locked down. Enemies already present inside and enemies who entered after will have their move speed continuously reduced depending on how close they are to the edge of the ability, ranging from -5% to -80%. If they can manage to reach the edge, their move speed will return to normal alongside being Silenced.
T1 - increased radius by 10m.
T2- 80 second cooldown reduction.
T3- now deals spirit damage in correspondence with distance from the edge of the ability
In short, Crow is an aggressive ambusher capable of entering fights to catch enemies off-guard, while also being able to keep the team informed of enemy whereabouts. With his close range threat, he'll be sure to keep enemies right where he wants them.
