Ruth is a young recluse who joined The Ritual for a selfish purpose of learning a way to recreate a sentient human from ink, the way she knows how to animate an ink bird, create a pond or a fresh-brewed cup of coffee with a mere brushstroke and enough will.
Skillset:
Basic attacks
In Ruth's defensive stance, the paint deals periodic low damage before exploding.
In the attacking stance, the basic attack immediately explodes.
1st skill - [Brushstroke] Attacking stance: shoots an ink arrow forward. During the cast, Ruth is rooted in place.
Defensive stance: a straight close-range upward attack.
2nd - [Birdwatcher] Attacking stance: Ruth summons a heron in front of her, which immobilizes the enemy, after which the skill can be pressed again if Ruth is in a close range, dealing damage, but the enemy ceases to be immobilized.
Defensive stance: Ruth summons a pigeon to an ally, making an ally invulnerable to damage for a short time, after which the pigeon reduces the damage received by 50% while the skill is active.
3rd - [Back/forth] Stances swap, where back is the name for defensive state and forth is for the offensive.
4th - [Viper's bite] Attacking stance: binds up to four enemies together with a snake. When enemies move away from each other, it pulls them back and causes damage to all connected enemies.
Defensive stance: Ruth creates a giant snake that increases the fire rate of nearby allies. While casting, Ruth can't move.
Backstory: Ruth has never been deprived of anything - her mother, a single parent, the only caretaker, always did everything possible for a little girl to create. Until Ruth turned 8, she developed like all children in society - she went to the day group of kindergarten and elementary school, until she realized that the world around her was inevitably changing. Things that had fascinated her have become boring and mundane. Then Ruth decided that she would lock herself in her room to keep the world as it is now in her mind.
After spending 15 years in her room, voluntary depriving herself of communication, Ruth grew up to be an awkward recluse. All those years she had been trying to open her mind to the outer world through the subtle lines of her of her world in paintings.
Understanding how to paint birds, water, trees and houses started to bore the young artist, and like any mind deprived from ethical perspectives of society, Ruth tried awful experiments to create a human being, but it turned out into mindless sack of bones every time, no matter what she did - started from bones to the organs to the skin or tried to paint a human in layers, from top to the bottom, nothing ever worked.
Desperate and unable to paint anything else than a human, Ruth sought the help of the Patrons for the forbidden knowledge, ready to complete the Ritual for them.
