HOT TEMPER - AREA DENIAL - KABOOM​

Lore: "Highly intelligent, but impulsive, reckless, and sometimes slightly maniacal, the hot-tempered Frank 'The Bomber' Rhodes has made a living as an demolitions expert working through various jobs that required his expertise around Midwest, US, his home state - Mostly either leveling old, abandoned buildings to the ground or blowing up rock canyons for future construction sites, among other jobs of similar nature - all for which he was paid handsomely. But he was starting to get bored of it all, and fast... he wanted some real action, something that would really test his mettle. He then began hearing news about the Patrons and their imminent arrival onto this world, and the ritual that was to take place on the Cursed Apple in New York, and not to mention, all the various combatants that will be there as well. And so, Rhodes started packing his bombs, his trusty double-barrel shotgun, and other essentials, then left his home and headed straight for New York. There, he seeks the action he has been craving for. Things are about to get explosive very fast when he gets there... and by the looks of it, he's going to have a time of his life!"

Weapon Notes: - Anger Management can fire either one barrel at a time or both barrels at once before reloading. The weapon has no fire rate cap. - Fire Rate bonuses gained convert into Reload speed instead, up to a Max of 40%. - Anger Management does not gain any additional Ammo.

This is possibly the 1st hero of mine that doesn't have any supernatural stuff going on, just an angry man with lots of bombs. I honestly don't see why there can't be any of those types of heroes in the game.



The main playstyle for this hero is, obviously, Area Denial with lots of burst damage(as has been my usual MO for all the heroes that I've made so far).

Main weapon is a double-barrel shotgun, a close-range classic - wider spread than other 'Spreadshot' weapons but higher damage per shot. The other drawback, aside from the wider pellet spread, is the reload speed, but I made it so that any fire rate bonus you get from whatever source(items, statues, etc.), gets converted into reload speed instead.

1st skill is, mechanics-wise, a combination of two things - Dynamite Pack from TF2(cut content) and Dynamite Bundle from Blood(1997 FPS game). But now that I think about, maybe, JUST maybe, a little bit of Alchemist's Unstable Concoction from Dota 2 also trickled in as well. I mean, it's just an opinion at this point, but I think that Blood's Dynamite Bundle and Alchemist's 2nd ability probably have something in common...

2nd skill is what I thought would be used either as an escape tool or used to engage in combat(latter for which I also have given this ability bonus weapon damage per hero hit, and a barrier at T2). I'm not entirely sure if the weapon damage or the barrier gets added to you if you choose to detatch yourself from the rocket and send it flying to whatever you just aimed at.

3rd skill is, for all intents and purposes, for defensive stuff, like zoning, laying traps in tight spaces, etc.
It could probably be used offensively, too. The T2 upgrade, which, after dealing 500 damage applies a Slow for 3s, came at a last second before I posted this.

4th and Ultimate Ability is just that: a Big bomb that makes a huge Boom. All that awesome power comes at a price of having a much longer cooldown, however. You also gotta be mindful of where you gonna launch this bomb from, for it needs almost 2 seconds of channel time to fire it.


I do have voice lines in mind for this hero as well, but I'll post those later, however. Just probably need to write some lines down on paper first, though.

Yeah, little bit of Techies in there, but I had inspirations from other games that had remote controlled bombs as weapons, such as Killing Floor 2, for example.

I too hope this does get added to the game. It's about time we had something truly explosive in the Cursed Apple!

I got whole stockpiles of these back home.

I ended up bearing the full brunt of the blast from dynamite so many times in my life... and you'd think I'd be used to this sort of thing by now, it's not even funny in the slightest!

If they don't stop messin' with me, they're gonna regret it real soon!

What good is one single stick o' dynamite, when you can just have more in a single bundle?

This rocket may be a bit faulty, but it has it's uses, so it's a win-win for me.

I have many, many more lines in mind, but I'm not sure if I should post anymore after this and some Generic Hero Kill/Killstreak Lines that I'll be doing later. I probably would post more, but I don't know if it's allowed or if it's just gonna be considered as spamming. I don't know, maybe I'm just being paranoid about everything these days..
