Lore

Orio had everything going for him: love, money, the respect of his peers, and the fear of his enemies. He was the greatest Don in all of Sicily, and nothing — absolutely nothing — seemed capable of stopping him.
Until the day he was poisoned at his son’s wedding… by his own son.

But death did not put an end to Don Orio’s story.

Revived by a necromancer hired by one of his most loyal lieutenants, Orio returned to life in the form of an animated skeleton. His first action in this second existence was neither escape nor revenge, but the methodical torture of the necromancer who had raised him, in order to extract all his secrets about life after death.
Once he had mastered the arcane arts of necromancy, Orio nevertheless refused to turn against his son. In his eyes, betrayal was part of the game, stating that if he had been in his place, he would have done the same…

No, Orio was thinking bigger. Much bigger.

He would no longer be satisfied with being the master of Sicily. He wanted to conquer the land of opportunity: the New World. Animating several skeletons to form his new “family,” Orio boarded the first ship bound for New York, determined to build an unprecedented criminal empire there.

With the help of his undead subordinates, he founded the Mafia degli Scheletri, an organization meant to impose his dominance over America. But Don Orio quickly realized that conquering this new territory would not be easy.
First, the intelligence of his creations left much to be desired — as if a man tortured to death were not the best teacher to learn how to reanimate the dead in optimal condition. Secondly, New York was already filled with powerful gangs and well-established criminal organizations, who looked very unfavorably upon the arrival of this skeletal Don as ambitious as he was arrogant.

However, with a nearly infinite source of subordinates, it did not take long for Orio to impose his authority. He established a new empire, specializing in the trafficking of dangerous and illegal occult objects, a market as lucrative as it was feared.

Nevertheless, he quickly realized the limits of his new powers. Far from the terrifying power of Liches, Orio was merely a cheap necromancer compared to his “peers.” If he wants to become the new Don of New York, he will need far greater power…

Abilities:

1: The Old Method

Orio throws a sticky bomb that deals 50 (+1.2x spirit power) spirit damage on explosion, then creates a sticky area on the ground 5m around the impact. Enemies in this area suffer -3 m/s movement speed and -20% dash distance.

Upgrades:

1: -30% fire rate for enemies affected by the bomb
3: +8s duration and -2 m/s
5: If enemies remain 3s in the area, they are immobilized for 2s

Technical details:

Area: 8m
Duration: 4s
Global cooldown: 15s

2: Skeletal minion

By holding this ability, Orio can channel a summon that lasts 3s. During this channel, Orio is immobile. The channel ends if Orio takes damage. At the end of the channel, Orio gains a skeletal minion for 40s. The skeletal minion automatically fires at enemies within a 20m radius. Orio can command minions to attack a target, move to a location, or follow him. If an occultist enemy dies, Orio can go to the location of their death and use their corpse to summon a new minion for free.

Upgrades:

1: When a skeletal minion dies, it explodes, dealing 100 spirit damage (x1.2 spirit power). This explosion affects everyone.
3: Minions gain +1 fire rate per second and +2 m/s movement speed
5: +1 charge and minions last 30s longer

Technical details:

Damage: 20 per shot (x1.3 ballistic damage)
Minion HP: 150 (x1.2 Orio’s HP)
Fire rate: 1 shot per second
Movement: 6 m/s
Cooldown between charges: 5s
Global cooldown: 35s
Charged ability

3: Wall Fist

Orio places a trap against a wall that takes 2s to arm. Once armed, the player can press the ability again to trigger the fist. All entities hit are pushed in the direction of the fist. If an enemy occultist is hit, the fist deals X melee damage and applies a 0.6s stun if they hit a wall.

Upgrades:

1: The fist put a -8% ballistic debuff on ennemies hit.
3: The fist pushes farther and gains +1s additional stun
5: The wall fist camouflages itself with the wall when armed

Technical details:

Duration: 20s

Ultimate (4): Taking Matters Into my own hands

All of Orio’s skeletal minions transform into clones of himself with 50% of his stats. During the duration of his ultimate, Orio can swap positions with any of these clones. If Orio dies during his ultimate, he respawns in place of one of these clones, which dies instead.

This ability lasts 1 additional second for every thousand souls Orio has collected during the match.

Upgrades:

1: Orio gains +4 m/s movement speed during this ability
3: -40s cooldown
5: Minions gain +20% additional stats

Technical details:

Duration: 5s
Global cooldown: 200s

Alright so this is Orio, who is the first hero i imagined for deadlock. I have an additional five that i will put on this forum later on (i just need some time to translate them, english is not my first language.).

So Orio, of course he is kind of a joke character. The idea came to me when i listed things i wanted to see into the game (this was before old gods new blood update mind you). With many gangster in the game, it felt weird that we did not have a italian gangster, since they are so iconic in american culture. I also wanted a skeleton character so this where the idea began. I really want this character to be focused on planning your actions and making traps to kills your ennemies, that's why the skeleton minions shouldn't have too much hp because i just don't want someone to just charge in and overwhelm people with his minions. Anyway if you have some thoughts on this character i would love to hear them, the abilities and lore are not set in stone and i'm always looking to improve my designs.

Also no art for my heroes sorry, i don't know how to draw and don't really know any artist so just use your imagination =').
