Originally, I thought that Cadence was an inspiration or 'port' for Deadlock but ...


In this hero design, they would probably be holding a lyre into battle instead of a gun. This means that the hero would be strumming the lyre to shoot musical notes at the enemy. Finally, my original idea actually had the hero's damage and attacks work in an AOE around them instead of a musical note projectile. The attack base damage would be low and range would be short but essentially they wouldn't necessarily have to aim but consider their positioning. Basically it shoots using sound waves that a player can see or something.



1st ability: Staccato

4 charges based ability, does not apply a mini stun but scales and damages with spirit.
When upgrades applies slow and fire rate slow.


2nd ability: Dance Floor

Target an AOE to create a dance floor where still allied units are healed and still enemies are damaged. A moving unit does not receive any effects but there may be lingering effects involved.

At max level, on cast forces all enemy units to dance for 1 second - so a hard CC but can still cast items like BKB to dispel.

Also non-acting allies can also not act to dance too for longer seconds but does not need to use BKB to regain action control. Allied dancing provides multiple healing bonuses.




3rd ability: Arcane Hymn

Passive that grants % Spirit Lifesteal aura and item Lifesteal aura(?). Passively also grants the hero an aura around them that radiate spirit damage periodically but also can be used to secure souls.

Can be toggled to turn off the aura so it cannot be sighted around corners.


4th ability: Protective Melody

Channeling state that provides allied units and heroes around the hero Unstoppable, Spirit resist, Bulllet resist, Melee resist. Does not provide Rhapsody with any buffs until fully upgraded but even then she must stop the channeling which then only provides 50% of the buffs, (no unstoppable) but she can act - this also applies if the channeling where to stop from silence or stun effects.
