Rework items that rely on RNG.

All of theese items should behave the same, of course ignoring the luck aspects. Plated deflection chance went from 30% to 33%, but I don't think it matters.

The only rng item I didn't touch is witch mail, because I don't think that item can be made non random without changing its identity too much.

I did rename lucky shot, since its not luck based any more.

All of these counters should be unique to that hero to avoid weird behaviors when multiple parties are involved. For example plated armor could ignore 100% from one hero, and 0% from another hero, if both heroes have same bullets per second. This would be very bad.

I like this idea. Can give more of a skill expression to it.
Care to elaborate: Assume someone deflects an armor piercing round (person shooting, 6th shot, only that person shooting), what happens then?

Deflect vs unavoidable piercing bullet res 0 shot.

Will it deflect, but that bullet, assuming it hits someone else would be unavoidable, piercing bullet res 0 shot, unless that new target also has a deflect ready?

As far as i know, armor piercing bullet cannot be stopped by plated armor, however the interaction becomes tricky, because said effects can be out of sync.

I think you would need to special case that interaction, so that apr turns enemy plated from every 3rd shot to every 6th shot.

The counters used by said items should also reset to a known state if you dont shoot or get shot respectively for ~3 seconds.

You have to consider multiple shooters coming in. Considering all the cases seperately combinatorically (neither, just 1, any 2, all 3), you can consider the cases individually.

If piercing rounds takes prio over plated armor, then that means, assuming 1 attacker:
1st shot: Regular
2nd shot: Pierce + Part Negate = Shot, no on hit.
3rd shot: Full Negate
4th shot: Pierce + Part Negate = Shot, no on hit.
5th shot: Regular
6th shot: Pierce + Full Negate = No shot, deflected shot is also Pierce shot.
Loop
( 2, 3 resets on LCM of 6 (2x3) )

I see, the counters would be when you start combat and reset on leaving combat. "Upon entering combat..." qualifier.

If plated armor counters are per target, and apr pierce is also per target, then multiple shooters have no impact on the outcome. Any bullet that gets deflected and hits another target is treated as if you directly shot that target, and thus also has no effect.

So if i have plated armor, and haze has apr:

Haze 1st shot: Regular
Haze 2nd shot: Pierce + Part Negate = Shot, no on hit.
Wraith 1st shot: Regular
Haze 3rd shot: Full Negate
Wraith 2rd shot: No on hit
Haze 4th shot: Pierce + Part Negate = Shot, no on hit.
Wraith 3rd shot: No shot
Haze 5th shot: Regular
Wraith 4st shot: Regular
Haze 6st shot: Pierce + Full Negate = No shot, deflected shot is also Pierce shot.
Wraith 5th shot: No on hit
Wraith 6st shot: No shot

This should make it consistent always. Haze follows the loop you described, and wraith follows:

1st shot: Regular
2nd shot: No on hit
3rd shot: Deflected
loop.
